It's funny how they said the Operation Varsity Blues scandal cheated black students from a college education. It actually cheated Asian students more because one of the excuses used to discriminate against Asian student admission was because Asian students lean towards academic performance and not others things namely athletics. This scandal just showed how athletics means nothing.
Where's the affirmative action for Asians for sports scholarships and the entertainment industry? I'm just saying if the West wants to play the victim/handout game, we should get stuff too like reparations for building railroads and the Chinese exclusion act too. It's all kabuki theater to voting blocks and honestly, Asians in America are too silent and divided compared to Blacks.

As much as it is an Asian stereotype, the penny-pinching mentality remains a prevalent one whether you're rich or poor. "Philanthropy" isn't as ingrained in the cultural mindset, despite what the ulterior motives thereof may be.
Donations give you a pretty decent chance, but not an absolute assurance.

It's got nothing to do with culture or philanthropy.

Actually, with all the news with "philanthropist" these days (Gates, Epstein, Weinstein), I would be highly suspicious of any of their motive.

Besides, from what I understand, you would need to donate millions to get any reassurance, whereas most of these bribes are in the 50k to 200k range.
