NO.

Europe needs CAI more than China, which made more concessions hoping to buy off EU to get it on-side geopolitically, but with the Xinjiang BS and sanctions, that's over now.

A big piece of CAI was opening of China's financial, equity, asset management and insurance markets to the Europeans, who are just drooling if they can get just small pieces of these markets, as their own financial/investment/insurance markets are very mature and saturated.

With the sanctions and China's counter sanctions, there's really no going back, unless the Europeans can swallow it's racist pride. The past 2 weeks have been EU's industrialists/investors/bankers/realist politicans vs ideologues/conservatives/US lackeys...

It matters little for China, everything from underwear, car components to sex toys will still be exported to the Europeans, but they remain limited in their investments in China, so I think it's a blessing in disguise. Let them buy our stuff but slowly rot at the same time. And meanwhile, US will eat their lunch, just like with Aust as mentioned by daifo.

As with the Austrailia situation, the US will cut another deal with China and take advantage of the situation. These countries living off a leach never learn.
Haha yes. By the time the EU has realised what it has done, Biden would sign Phase 2 trade deal with China

This is for people who say that it is not worth it, better to avoid it etc. CIA is showing its worth here. They just upped the noise by a bit and the EU was paralysed in just a few months

All of these events are exactly why the US became a superpower. It has great methods to steal from everyone including its allies effortlessly. I don't know anything if the US didn't calculate this. The US finance companies will expand in China without European rivals. In long term, this kind of events may cause division in the EU which the US actually hates. Say anything you want about the US but their statecraft is top-notch.

Exactly bro. People here dismiss CIA work as something nebulous which doesn't affect them or that they just do "spying" as shown in the movies.

See what the CIA has accomplished. With a "little" ~$65 billion budget per year, they are sowing discord around the world, keeping economies down, controlling politicians and their countries, managed to torpedo the EU-China CAI deal, made up the Xinjiang "genocide", made up the "debt-trap" story to discredit the BRI, instigated wars, colour revolutions, Myanmar etc

CIA is everywhere, and thats with a small ~$65 billion budget. Best investment by the US right now

Just torpedoing the EU-China deal alone is worth the CIA budget for 10 years
