RAM isn’t the only thing AI sucked the life out of. Has anyone checked out storage prices yet? A decent 1 TB NVME costs about $200 to $300 USD. Meanwhile, the old bulky 3.5” hard disc drives of 2 TB is slowly moving towards $150 USD.

Those are some bullshit prices, I paid for a 2TB Seagate HDD back in 2024 for like $50.
Purely from AI I take it? I recall before AI got big HDD were on their way to obsolescence. If only Optane was still alive today they would be making big bucks now just like the HDD makers.
Maybe I should sell my stash.. I've got six of those in a RAID for offsite backup.

I'm seeing a lot of these videos, some posted in this forum, of how Europeans are surprised about how wonderful and friendly the US is like those videos of Westerners going to China for the first time. It smells fishy. Since when did Europeans not know to be surprised? They were big tourists to the US before Trump. Costco was here before Trump being President. That's what's odd. Europeans use to scoff at the gluttony of the US. Now they love the discovery of Costco...? You know the logic of Americans where they see someone else doing something, it's completely all right for them to do. And what do they accuse these Western praising China of doing...?

Yeah, these videos smell like some sort of propaganda video they use to make the USA seem like paradise. Seriously it is a bit annoying given how happy blind they seem, it's like they want to move there almost. They should be careful though, those things they eat are not that safe given the amount of pollutants in them
