After the Ukraine fiasco, you have to be a real idiot to fight for the US regime.

Long way to go: the deal will not be signed until June 19th.
Israel is still at it.
The deal itself is a mystery.

A generation of Chinese workers broke their backs to build the China we see today. Westoid propagandist: let's use the hardship one of the tens of millions of workers endured to smear China!

India will overtake China in 2060, according to India media.

The big problem for Turkey is that their entire sales pitch to China was their customs union with the EU. The BYD factory was supposed to mostly sell to the EU. But the EU is now formulating new rules which would exclude Turkey's preferential treatment if BYD built a factory there.

So this isn't "China selling out Turkey". This is EU shutting Turkey out. But for some weird reason, the turks are lashing out at China. Stella Li of BYD has said publicly that the company's main focus is to increase production in Hungary. After that, they are scouting to find a second location inside of the EU.

In many ways, Turkey is trying to leverage its relationship with the EU in the same way that Israel tries to leverage its relationship with the US. But what happens when they can't? Their entire strategy falls to bits.
I dont think you understood the tweet i posted earlier. The Arabic tweet has word New Europe.
That is MBS giving helping hand to Erdogan to increase his leverage with Europe. Erdogan has made Turkey decline so much that MBS thinks he needs help. MBS has access to vast info. Israel does not need any leverage. it is foremost scientific power. All it has to do is distribute science.
Europe and New Europe are not the same thing. They cannot convey real aims in public.

She is the latest victim of the Hong Cuck syndrome as she supported the coach roaches yet never the less gets treated like she is chinese when she wants to say she is not.

That I really do not know.

Olivia came from Hong Kong, immigrated here in the 1970's, had to follow her parents to Toronto, during the same time when the Great Proletariat Cultural Revolution was going on. I think a lot of people left Hong Kong at that time because they were simply scared.

She was a social worker before she went into politics.

Guess who she helped as a social worker? Yup, you guessed it, every single Chinese who needed some help navigating the system in Toronto. That is why everyone knows Olivia, and has no problem with her.

Whatever other opinions she may have, so what. One thing about Chinese people I noticed, everyone has a strong opinion about something. No one is going to hold that against her, not in this Chinese community.

Olivia Chow is basically a neighbour of mine, her door is probably 300 meters from my front door. She is probably 80 years old now or more, and cancer survivor.

That is why there are very few political attacks against her, from any direction. In person, she is very Chinese, such as inoffensive. And she is a frail old Chinese woman.

That she became mayor of Toronto, that is quite an accomplish for her, at that age. The white people probably did not know they were voting for someone that old, lol!

As for my opinion, I like Olivia, but I definitely do not like her leftist politics because I am rightist. But that still means I like Olivia.

Japan's strategy would actually work if they were more generous/open source with their tech innovations when they come up with something new. Instead every time without fail they jealously protect their IP and demand very tight licencing requirements that makes everyone else decide to instead invest in competing standards, then over time with more R&D money the competing standard becomes the winning standard and Japan gets left in the dust where its IP becomes worthless.

Examples:
Plasma display vs LED display
Hydrogen powered cars vs EV
MD vs MP3

Guarding their IP wasn’t the problem, no one would get anywhere by simply gifting IP they spent years and vast amounts of resources to develop to the competition to use for free (some caveats apply, for example Chinese SoEs share tech with each other to improve competition and avoid waste from duplicating R&D costs, but that doesn’t mean BYD is just going to give Ford all their tech secrets either).

The problem with Japanese tech innovation wasn’t the IP protection, it was the pricing strategy, which again went back to their tiny market mindset.

Because their domestic market is tiny, they need massive mark ups on each unit sold to recoup costs and make profits. The fundamental strategic error Japanese industry made was that they never got out of that mindset even when they were selling to a global market. So their cutting edge products were always priced too high for widespread adoption, which was one of the key reasons their western competitors were so easily and consistently able to win the format race, because they were priced more competitively and so captured the lion share of the market share.

When faced with competition, the default response from the Japanese was to compete on quality, which only exacerbated the problem as it made their products even more expensive and niche.

lately on twitter, Indians, unable to cope with being bullied on twitter, have been projecting their caste system onto China hoping that the white audiences will be ignorant enough to see that maybe casteism ain’t so bad if the ultra modern high speed rail spacefaring Chinese have it.

but to no avail.

The entire episode has been a fascinating example of Indian “izzat”
I was wondering about that as my TL was flooded with that kind of tweets suddenly. Bots must be working overtime or there is some lead poisoning in cow piss going on.
