FIFA made a big mistake by allowing the US to host World Cup.
FIFA World Cup 2026 is projected to be the most profitable World Cup in history.

TL;DW: Unlike previous games where ticket prices were capped, the FIFA is letting "the free market" by setting very high price floors from the start, manually raising prices after every ticket sold, and even opening an official resellers site for scalpers where FIFA takes a 30% cut.

Europeans being pissed at migrant's who want to kill indigenous people is ironic. Until all European migrants go back to Europe and pay reparations they don't really have any right to complain.
We all know thats not gonna happen.

I remember in Witcher 3 there was a quote in the loading screen.

Humans don't trust nonhumans. Racial tensions in cities where they cohabit often explode in pogroms and massacres.

Its funny how some fantasy setting somehow gets reality better than those critically praised modern stories that are supposed to be very realistic and accurate. Even though you're supposed to kill monsters, most of the time you're actually dealing with human problems. When the monster problem is gone, suddenly those humans ask for your help "dealing" with other humans or whoever is different from them.

We live in an age of peace right now so we can't fathom it. But pogroms, expulsions and massacres against certain groups were almost like the norm in the past.

Nvidia revenue should be compared to Indian GDP not Nvidia worth. i think India worth is more than it GDP. otherwise no one will think about colonizing India.

Putin: Modi imposes fuel restrictions in India due to events in Hormuz

ST. PETERSBURG, June 5. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being forced to impose a number of fuel restrictions in India following the events in the Strait of Hormuz, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated.

"Yes, of course, Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi is now forced to impose some restrictions, calling on people not to use personal transport or even travel particularly far due to the events in the Strait of Hormuz in the Middle East. The Indian government has absolutely nothing to do with this; it's just the Indian economy that's suffering," Putin said at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

Japan is the master of perfecting technology. Yesterday's technology. The fax machines they have now must be incredibly executed pieces of artisinal cutting-edge engineering.

Wonder if this will affect the US markets and show if the Yen carry trades are still going on.

Here's an interesting take that posits the US actually learned all of it's monetary mismanagement policies from Japan.

Bear with me for a second with this crazy hypothetical scenario, but I honestly think if China wasn't as rich and powerful as it was today, the G7 nations would concoct some kind of colluded Debt Jubilee scheme to get themselves out of all their current problems as a result of all the borrowing and money printing today. Unfortunately for them, if they did that in the current day real world, every single penny that gets invested in the future pours into China instead.

It’s not crazy or far fetched in the slightest, it’s the Russian model.

In fact, I would go as far as to say that the Russian model is actually the Chinese model adapted, a consolidation prize that was meant to give the west a boost so they can gain enough power to then go after their primary target - China, all the while picking off a thorn in their side and depriving China of a natural ally against them.

This is why the Americans were so insistent in retaining the Taiwan Card, and why the west was so dismissive of China for so long, in addition to the obvious racism. They thought they had the ultimate Trump card against China, that whenever they want, they can have Taiwan declare formal independence and thus force China into Armed Reunification. Which would allow them to freeze and seize all of China’s foreign assets, including all the Bonds and government debts, and they also expected regime change in China and ruinous repatriations; they would have carved up China’s markets for themselves; demanded modern concessions in the form of occupation military bases, and locked the Chinese people in chains of debt and steel for another century at least while they wrung ever drop of blood money they can out of 1.4bn new slaves. Enough wealth to keep them fat for generations.

Not that far in the past at all. Who knows how many tens of thousands of Russian speakers were massacred in Donbas and Crimea that were covered up with assistance from the EU.

Eventually that card will disappear (if it hasn't already) and soon the USA might even up being the nation that gets carved up peace meal if they cannot get their act together to solve its own issues. That Taiwan card has long since stopped being viable the moment China demonstrates that blockading the island itself is a far cheaper option and literally one that the USA simply cannot counter without expending all of its now critically low stockpiles. They are now looking to Greenland and Cuba instead for a easy win since the Ukraine and Iran wars are literally emptying the vault without any kind of gains what so ever.

That card is already useless.

If the Americans push China to war over Taiwan tomorrow, they will almost certainly loose the fight militarily, and the more time that passes the worst they will loose.

That means they loose the bulk of their air and sea power, as well as essentially all of Asia to China as China systematically eradicates their military bases in the region, and American allies can flip sides and bend the knee to China, or be effectively destroyed as relevant military and economic powers, if not outright conquered. The PLA’s focus has long moved on from Taiwan to Japan, as the balance of power is so overwhelming that there is no possibility of Taiwan holding out, so the priority is now on how to effectively end America’s ability to continue attacking China conventionally once the battle for Taiwan is won, which means driving them out of Asia to Hawaii and Australia at a minimum.

That in turn means the end of America’s overseas interests as they will then no longer have any meaningful ability to protect those interests against local regional powers who have long chafed under American containment. Which in turn will certainly spell the end of the petrodollar and the collapse of their economic foundation.

That was why Trump went with his trade wars instead, because they could not win a real war. And we all know how those trade wars went despite China deliberately pulling its punches to help manage America’s decline rather than seek to destroy them economically. That is how confident China has become, that they are not just concerned with winning, but winning in such a way as to give Trump a way out rather than going all in if he has nothing left to loose.
