Middle East regional politics just wants one's head to explode. Here are examples none in any particular order. India was friendly towards Iran and Afghanistan because they didn't like Pakistan. Indians help Israel target Iranian leaders in assassinations. India is upset because Pakistan brokered a US-Iranian ceasefire as if they should've done it. Then you have the Sunni Arabs aligned with Israel and the US where most of the 9-11 hijackers came from. Qatar was being treated like the red-headed step child of the Sunni Arab world and now Saudi Arabia has some sort of dispute with the UAE. Sunni Arab Gulf states are striking Iran during the truce because Iran attacked them when they were pushing the US to attack Iran for them before the war started. Pakistan has a defense treaty with Saudi Arabia to which some said they were obligated to attack Iran but the Saudis have sided with Israel who have put Pakistan on their targeting list because they're Muslims that have nukes.
I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg of contradictions.

These contradictions developed over long period of time and no one has used or no one has that hard power to solve it. and Russia is at least few years away to develop such capability. Only Russia is developing capabilities that will solve most of these problems.

If she is 30 years younger, I can definitely imagine she could be a world class model, and she has the height as well. Lol I know I would be all over her, even if I wasn't even close to being born at that time. Shuqi would be nothing to me lol.
But in terms of brains, she is definitely book smart as she holds high qualifications from Cambridge, but back then she was an active supporter of DDP and taiwan green frog movement, and one of the contributors of their rise. But after learning more and more about Chinese history and getting her PhD in it, she starts to recognise her Chinese roots and realised her past mistakes, so she starts leaning towards the KMT side and strongly promote her Chinese identity. (DDP's dirty tactics and corruption also plays a part here)
This shift in ideology actually gained more respect from me than anything. Most people are just a product of their environment or just having a momentary sense of naiveness and rebelliousness due to being young. But to be able to later go ahead and genuinely educate yourself, understand and identify the right from wrongs by having strong principles, and then willingly and courageous enough to make that change publicly and even advocate for what is right, it is really not easy. We need to applaud more people like her. Many of us didn't grow up with the right mindset as well, we should all know what this process is like and respect the people who are willing to be truthful to themself and the facts and make that change.
Don't forget, I myself once believed that Russia are somehow China's friends when I was in kindergarten because I was oblivious of the dark history, it was a very shameful mistake looking back and I glad I wasn't stupid anymore. I was also bought into the idea that the west is invincible and inherently superior, but then I start becoming smart.
