In the west yes because most gamers are playing the same 6 black hole games, and PS is the default brand.

It's still possible for China to introduce a new console, if the console itself is a means to an end.
a Chinese console with exclusive games developed in China with an OS based on OpenHarmony and a RISC-V CPU, add multimedia functionality and integration with well known apps and superapps and it could really work. Add collaboration with various other game studios and you could really have a company like Nintendo or Sony.

You'd have to be out of your mind to have children these days. The cost of living has exploded: housing is unaffordable, childcare can rival a second rent payment, education costs keep climing, and everyday essentials like food, energy and healthcare are becoming financial burders. On top of that wages haven't kept pace with inflation, job security is weaker than ever, and many families are already struggling just to stay a float. Bringing a child into this economic reality isn't just expensive. For many people, it feels financially reckless. We don’t all have the limitless resources of dictators, presidents, or billionaires like Musk to casually produce a small army of children.

I would say to expect more radicalization as big tech slop tries to replace everyone with AI. The calls to “wipe the slate clean” will only grow louder into the future as the government is controlled by the interests of the wealthy and rich. Then the just get a degree and job speech from the boomers is rapidly becoming a fantasy while creating more resentment.

From +50% pre-2020, to 25% in 2023, to 7% in 2026 for new graduate hires from tech.

Time for cushy jobs are over. Society needs more electricians, plumbers, waste disposal workers, and definitely more elder care nurses for boomers.

Goddamn... in my experience, the bills are enormous, but... they're not meant to be paid??? My son got the flu and almost died when he was just 10 days old. The hospital bill to save him was over $400K. Insurance covered everything except the last $9K out of pocket... then the hospital sent us a letter that we were off the hook for the last $9K. We didn't even request it; we were ready to pay.

When my wife's dad fell and seriously injured his head requiring stitches and thorough head and neck exams, the bill was over $5K. He didn't have insurance. We looked at the bill and lots of it were bullshit, $800 for laying in a bed for 2-3 hours, $500 for a cheap plastic neck support they gave him which they threw into the trash when they discharged him, stuff like that. So we cut it down to what looked reasonable and offered them $850. The hospital asked us if the patient himself was low income. We said he's retired and has a Chinese pension, so by US cost of living, yes, but not by Chinese cost of living. That was good enough for them. They told us it's all written off. His new bill is $0. We told them that as his family, we are happy to pay what's fair and offered $850 again. They said they can send the whole >$5K bill to the government but if we pay a dime on it, they could no longer do that, so fuck off and be happy with the offer!

Bite your teeth, get ready to suffer, to fight for survival, but have kids anyway. Because if you don't, then by the time you've amassed enough wealth and/or the economy has recovered to a point where you're comfortable having kids, you will be biologically past your time to get pregnant for women, to produce high quality sperm for high quality kids for men. So go all in right now and get ready to be miserable, otherwise consider yourself a walking corpse.

Like Lindsey Graham said. The UAE does whatever Israel and the US wants to maintain their soft vassalage power.

there complain is that Netanyahu is in power for over 30 years and still discussing this issue.
There is no Flag.
When MBS meets with lower counterpart he put One Flag. when equal counterpart than he put two flags. those are official meetings.

This reflection of talent in society. few percentage will be highly talented and rest cannot compete. so outsource work to cheaper destinations. It is same happening in auto industry like those parts come back and forth with Mexico.
