LDP has won a landslide victory.

I hope that Chinese official media stop using rhetoric like political apathy or claim that Japanese militarism is only a minority to whitewash the situation.

They need to make the public clearly understand that Japan is already an entirely right-wing country, a nation that would choose to wage war against China. The current embargo and decoupling are not excessive, but insufficient. JIBA!

I mean Japan is effectively always a one party state. They can have some downs sometimes but eventually things will return to normal where the same right wing party retains power.

They're not going to wake up one day by themselves.

But I remember this same crap was pulled by Taiwan and Korea. They use the China bad rhetoric to get more votes. But after election, the honeymoon period wears off and nothing really gets done coz it turns out they only actually cared about the voting part. So we'll see.

China holds no (del-)illusions about Japan.

What do you think PLA is there for, Taiwan only? At this point, Taiwan is just a side quest of the Japanese side quest which is a side quest of the US main quest


As war is coming, rare earth minerals should be further restricted and flows into Japan should be strictly monitored.

I think in the next 2 weeks we are gonna get a pretty good idea of what the rest of her term will be like and how China should respond to acts of aggression by Japan and how aggressive Japan will be.

I think at this point we should wait and see.

Japan's economy and financial system are both extremely fragile. The Liberal Democratic Party's radical policies are not only ineffective but even harmful to Japan, let alone the raw material sanctions imposed by China. Rather than emulating Trump-style economic policies, we should instead observe whether Japan dares to pursue nuclear weapons.

It reminds me of Yun Seok-yeol in South Korea: similar right-wing incitement, similar overwhelming victory, similar incompetence in governance, and similar adventurism (attempting to provoke a war with North Korea to secure his position). And this time, the target of her provocation is China.
