Yeah. This Prof Jiang Xueqin guy is quite suspicious to me. He has been getting engaged with various pro-China YouTubers, and that's kinda suspicious. His "US Falling Empire" theory is certainly gaining some traction.

However his views are quite suspicious. He is a strong advocate for splitting Russia from China. Always warning that Russia will betray China after the Ukraine War ends. He also has this strange theory that America "gifted" it's technology to China. As if China owes it's technology and industrial achievements to the US.

I think this Prof Jiang dude is managed opposition. He is probably infiltrating the pro-China and leftist media. Then start influencing them according to American agendas.
His ideas will not take any traction within the Chinese leadership rendering his views as completely useless. Besides since he is in Canada, I doubt he would feel safe in the USA either so in the end what did his expertise amount to anyway, so he is simply a higher functioning Gordon Chang trying to cover his bases now that the USA is on the decline. How bloody convenient, interesting to listen to but ultimately a test to see who has critical thinking skills and who doesn’t

In this Thursday, January 22, 2026 lecture to his Beijing high school students, Professor Jiang explains how the British empire evolved into an offshore financial system.

Does have some good content,
I see nothing new in his lecture. White worshipping is not a new problem. The British Empire's role in shaping the world we know today is quite well understood.

White worshipping is not a mainstream thing in China. The average Chinese learn English today not to emigrate to the West, but as a tool of communication. The Chinese want to be treated as equals, not as subordinated worshippers. Prof Jiang's "lecture" is outdated already. This should have been more relevant in the 90s and 00s.

Anyone who have studied history seriously would have already seen role of the British Empire in shaping our current world. Just look at the map. Australia, NZ, Canada, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, etc. We don't need a PHD for this. These are things that are taught by a highschool history teacher, not a professor.

I mean China can do both. Uzbekistan ain't exactly rich and they figured out how to have a decent squad. Vietnam recently beat South Korea in bronze for the Asia U23 cup.

Its not really a matter of resources at this point. Its the fact that China still cannot find the root cause problem for crappy football. There is something seriously wrong with how it selects players as well as trains them to operate as a team. Unless they figure that out, no amount of money will help unless they just wanna buy every best player in the world in their prime and give them Chinese citizenship. But even that's no guarantee.

Uzbekistan also isn't involved in a supremacy struggle with the USA either. Just having a "decent" squad or beating South Korea for bronze ain't good enough, and will only result in more pouring of resources to move up in the rankings, only exponentially more expensive the higher you go. Just to be good in a single sport?

And also, you can't just buy your way up either, at least not if you want to join the elites. Per FIFA rules, once a player has made even a single senior game for a country, he would not be able to represent another, even if he change his citizenship. So, only 2nd rate players not having played any senior national football would be available to be bought through citizenship.

Thanks for showing Jordan is as incompetent as Hezbollah (probably more) by displaying Israel's great concern for human life by blowing up civilian pagers in public.

Dude, the Jordanian authorities have quite literally been

In case this somehow escaped you, Jordan is effectively a buffer state —

Israel has significant and obvious incentives not to sabotage defense and security exports employed to perform its bidding in Jordan. Naturally, the Jordanian authorities are able to competently deploy Cellebrite with little, if anything to worry about.

Yet this reality somehow eludes you . . . :p

On Wednesday, a judge quashed a Liberal government order that would have shuttered the tech company’s Canadian offices over national security concerns, after an agreement was reached between the Government of Canada and TikTok.
The shutdown order has been set aside, effective immediately. Neither the government nor TikTok disclosed details.

I'm all for mocking India, but are we sure it's an India problem and not a Ubislop fucking it up and conveniently blaming the brown guy?
Considering the ineptitude and laziness of Indian workers and how greedy western boards send all their jobs and back offices to India, I think it’s more plausible that Indian incompetence killed the project, the greedy western boards simply loaded the pistol.
