It is probably the only way Takaichi can save face. She doesn't have to retract what she said but it'll just mean she loses he job. That's probably what China will now only accept because they aren't even going to bother negotiating with her like how it took Justin Trudeau being out of office before China would even bother with Canada. But then it could be a way for Takaichi to seal her position if the Japanese chooses to stick with her to spite China but that will probably mean the end of Japan. No rare earths for how long(?) until they find an alternative will still kill Japanese technology and industry.

Takaichi learnt from Shinzo Abe, that a snap dissolution at the opening of the ordinary Diet session would create an extremely short campaign, just 16 days from dissolution to polling.
Such an early dissolution would help the government avoid tough questioning in the Budget Committee over multiple controversiesespecially alleged links between the LDP and the Unification Church, as well as “slush fund” problems, plus the potential impact from rare earth ban.
A Dec. 29, 2025 scoop by South Korea’s Hankyoreh is cited at the left bottom of the picture: it reports internal Unification Church(統一教会) documents that allegedly show the group supported 290 LDP candidates in the 2021 lower-house election and mention “Takaichi” 32 times, portraying her as strongly backed by Shinzo Abe. The main reason Abe got the bullet were because of his strong tie with it.
To those who does not familiar with Unification Church: it is a Korean based
CULT that force Japanese girls marry with Korean men. In Unification Church teaching, nations map onto the Eden story: Korea is cast as the “Adam nation,” while Japan is the “Eve nation,” expected to offer “indemnity” and material support to restore and serve Adam; the United States is often framed as an “archangel nation” in that providential order. For people unfamiliar with it, the group’s famous “Blessing” is a large, highly choreographed wedding or vow-renewal ceremony, sometimes matching couples across countries meant to cleanse the couple’s lineage from original sin and model families as a basis for world peace.
So in short, Takaichi and LDP is controlled by Korea cult; the election farce is just for the government to live longer. Takaichi has yet to deliver any notable results, and none of her campaign promises has been fulfilled. And every election costs about ¥60 billion in direct public spending money that ultimately comes out of taxpayers’ pockets.
