They shot themselves in the foot right off the bat since they named their company after what sounds like an online scam to trick people into overpaying for Carfax/VIN number type vehicle history reports. Anyone here ever try selling a used car online in the US or Canada? Literally 80% of the responses I got were from these kinds of scammers who first posed as interested buyers. It's like an education company going into the Chinese market and naming themselves "250 Academy".VinFast's only dealership in the SF Bay Area has closed.

Vietnamese nationalists had the delusions this company would've made them Asia's EV superpower instead of China. But they couldn't even make it in the part of the US with the highest EV adoption rate, where due to environmental beliefs people are willing to get their hands on anything not just Teslas.
