India might not be as competent as China (and may never be), but by sheer demographic heft & the BJP’s grip on power, it will inevitably have to be contended with. China needs a “India strategy” in the same way the West needed a “China strategy,” the only difference is that China has the benefit of hind sight, and can avoid making the mistakes the West did like out sourcing its entire industrial base & letting in so many immigrants their societies are now fighting amongst themselves.
This is the Indian demographic dividend that is going power the nation forward for the next couple of decades. So the potential for India to threaten China's own workforce is delusional for the foreseeable future.

China is not run by liberal nut jobs. There is no chance they are letting young men like these to so easily immigrate into China. These young men can't even grow their own country, so why should China's cold realist government accept people like these?

Sharif Osman Ali, one of the prominent student leaders in the Bangladesh Revolution last year was assassinated on Dec 12. He died in Singapore on Dec 18. People are blaming Awami League loyalists and India. There was a big funeral for him, and large violent protests with alleged lynching of Hindu minorities.

The gunmen had apparently fled to India, so India is definitely a suspect. If India had really done this, then it's truly idiotic. There isn't much to be gained by killing an activist in another country. It is only gonna escalate the animosity between India and Bangladesh. It could be someone else doing this, but India does have a track record of assassinating people it doesn't like in other countries.

Not really?. This would be like saying the latin american dictatorships of the Cold War were succesful because of corruption and infighting and not because of mass murder of any and all opposition with material and political support from the US, if not outright intervention from their part.
If you have corruption and infighting, you have opened the doors to external threats. It's an age old concept that has been exploited, rinsed and repeated endlessly.

At the risk of using a cliche, this is like blaming women for getting raped by the way they might or might have not dressed.
Now that's a stretch.

The current rulers aren't prisoners but compradors which is what allowed them to gain the favor of the west and support, so doesn't really apply.
Again, you missed the point. The caliph was fed gold to remind him that had he used the gold to prepare his defense, instead of hoarding it, he wouldn't be in this position. Counter example is the Turk Mamluks of Egypt who annihilated the advancing Mongols. Or a more modern example: North Korea? Put all their money on nukes and missiles - now nobody in the West wants to interfere.

Abbasi viziers facilitated the Mongol advance, as well as the Muslim Kurds of Ardabil and Muslim shia of Baghdad and Hillah both welcomed the Mongols, due to Abbasi oppression.

The Taliban are idological cousins of it, though as it is an hybrid of wahabbism(evidenced in the extreme social control aspects) with the local Deobandism. So why would the Afghan want to import something that they already have and more atuned to their local customs?.
Deobandi is a Hanafi movement. Wahhabi is a Hanbali movement. These are distant ideologies.

Mind you, this still part of the same western imperialism as the only way the Taliban gained power like they was through material and political support by the West through local comprador proxies(Pakistan) so they are ISIS before ISIS. The main difference is that the Taliban are content with staying in Afghanistan while ISIS is a tool to be wielded in the Middle East and Africa.

Is it?. Just because Frankenstein's monster turned against its creator doesn't make it any less of his responsability.
Frankenstein didn't make Deobandi.

Anyways, blaming achieves nothing. It's a moot behavior. Nobody denies Western imperialism.

My door lock broke so I left it broken. My home got robbed. Now I can do one of two things: 1) fix the lock, or 2) leave the lock broken and blame the thief.

The U.S. plans to impose tariffs on China's semiconductor industry starting in 2027. China's Foreign Ministry: This move harms others and itself.

On December 24, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian presided over a regular press conference. A reporter from Agence France-Presse asked: The findings of the U.S. Trade Representative's investigation state that "China has implemented unfair measures in an attempt to dominate the semiconductor industry," and the U.S. plans to impose tariffs on China's semiconductor industry starting in 2027. What is China's comment on this?
Lin Jian stated that China firmly opposes the U.S. imposing tariffs indiscriminately and unjustifiably suppressing Chinese industries. The U.S. actions disrupt the stability of global production and supply chains, hinder the development of semiconductor industries worldwide, and ultimately harm both parties.
"We urge the U.S. side to promptly correct its erroneous practices, guided by the important consensus reached by the two heads of state. On the basis of equality, mutual respect, and reciprocity, both sides should address their respective concerns through dialogue, properly manage differences, and uphold the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-U.S. relations. Should the U.S. side persist in its course, China will resolutely take corresponding measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests," Lin Jian said.

055 can't even beat Ticonderoga in VLS count. It also can't carry ultra large Hypersonic missiles that PLARF has. So, Type 055 is not a "Battleship" for the modern era.

A true modern battleship should have displacement atleast double that of 055. So, around 25-30K displacement. It should have 100+ VLS Air defense plus 30-50 larger VLS for Hypersonic anti-ship/ground attack missiles that are similar in size to DF-26/27.

A modern day kirov class type ship with modern radars and sensors and also hypersonic weapons will be what I would call a modern day battleship.
VLS count is not a useful metric. The Type 055 VLS cells are 850x850mm, the Tico VLS cells are 650x650mm. The total VLS volume a 055 has is ~2x that of a Tico (there is a lack of exact depth data to calculate the precise volume)
They already fit YJ-21 hypersonics with Mach 10 speed and 1500km range into those VLS cells and you can multi-pack smaller air-defense missiles as is commonly done with ESSM already.

Some right wingers believe that the whole we need more people coz of muh GDP or demographics dividends is just an excuse to allow more immigration by the globalists to basically suppress worker wages and bargaining power further. Peter Zeihan who they used to quote a lot is now not exactly liked now when his suggestion was allowing more H1B Indians.

When you think about it, it really is lazy thinking. Lets just import more people even if they have vastly different backgrounds instead of carefully considering all possible options. Importing people is when a country is in its early or growth stage, not when its already fully established. Thats why its kind of suspicions to me. Again they crap on China for low birth rates but at least China is serious about it by implementing practical automation solutions. I don't see these people come up with any serious alternatives.

Bangladesh was once part of Pakistan but split apart due to various differences. Yet now they are on better terms simply due to their mutual hatred of India. Truly amazing.

That chart Gordon posted requires fact-checking and numeric literacy; that is actually way above what I'd expect an average American to be able to do. They would read the title and assume it's a correct interpretation of factual data. America's population is so stupid that we are in the 5th year of Trump and the heated debate rages on about whether tariffs are paid by American importers and consumers or by billion/trillion dollar checks that China writes to the US treasury. Does that sound like these people know how to use Google?
Western capitalism is so ugly the US president fears no backlash from publically forcing people to raise drug prices and saying he's going to get the US drug prices lower than France only by forcing France to double theirs. "I'm gonna make American lives seem better in comparison by making French people's lives worse." That's a public announcement, not some devious secret scheme uttered in a meeting room in the White House at 2am with a handful of the president's most trusted evil sidekicks.

In form and practice the anglosphere led west is a caste system with white Jews at the top and their servants at the bottom even if they are an Indian sycophant like ramaswamy.

Any normal person correctly perceived these masses of Indian males as threats and competitors for even the most basic jobs. However, to the capitslist elite global class, they look at this as a horde of willing sycophantic slaves that they in their delusion believe they can control.

Reuters: The Federal Communications Commission of the U.S. said on Monday it is adding China’s DJI to a list of companies determined to pose unacceptable risks to U.S. national security and will bar approvals of new types of drones for import or sale in the United States. Does the Foreign Ministry have any comment?

Lin Jian: China firmly opposes the U.S. overstretching the concept of national security and making discriminatory lists to go after Chinese companies. The U.S. should stop its wrong practice and create a fair, just and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese companies.
