Nothing much could be materialized from the "deal" of Cambodia / Malaysia and the US regarding anything within the deal.
The deal is not even an agreement, it's a framework that need to be worked out and the timeline of work out is not meet, the conditions are to respect US commercial judgement and local laws which is bogus like a double tongue.
Trump wants a quick win, both Cambodia and Malaysia know this, they agree to something akin to an MoU to satisfy the ego of Trump for some real benefit. And to satisfy US media
A few days later there is China - Asean free trade agreement v3, this one is a real deal

So many voices saying different spins on why China is winning because the West obviously got it wrong. They got it wrong because simply what they believed before wasn’t right. This is why China should be hammering that they got it wrong or else they’re going to forget. Maybe they shouldn’t have made such predictions in the first place. They did it to claim some notoriety for themselves. They didn’t do it because they wanted people to have accurate information. They did it for some personal gain. Look at Rush Doshi. How are you an expert on something without having any affinity with the thing you supposedly have expertise? The only expertise he has is hating on China. He can’t just say he’s an expert on being pro-Indian. Those are dime a dozen with Indians. So to make oneself stand out to make it a business you say you’re an expert on China and he’ll get a lot business because he’s not white and can money on it from white people not wanting to look racist but still want the benefits. Now even Rush Doshi has to rewrite the past especially him being clearly a “China expert” because he’s going to lose business by being wrong. Same goes with the China Beige Book. How are they considered China experts when all they do is help plan against China? The guy who runs it is Middle Eastern or from that part of the world. He certainly ain’t Chinese. That’s how people like them make money these days. They ain’t going to be an expert on their country because there’s no money in that.

Nah, China isn’t going to say shit to them. The days of China trying to help the west learn the error of its ways are over. China has concluded that the west cannot be made to see sense with just words, it’s only when they feel real, bone-deep pain that they finally want to learn.

Paramount is planning to lay off about 1,000 workers Wednesday, with an additional thousand to follow at a time still being determined, sources familiar with the plans tell Deadline.

The vast majority of the affected employees will be based in the U.S., with international divisions also planning cutbacks in the coming weeks.
The long-expected cuts come two-plus months after the close of the $8.4 billion merger of Paramount and Skydance. Executives at the merged company have promised Wall Street they would deliver $2 billion in cost savings, with part of that target amount being achieved by workforce reductions.

Of course they could. Malaysia has a lot of packaging capacity as does Taiwan.
But it would require certification. Remember these are automotive grade components.

Thing is that’s not just idle capacity sitting there doing nothing at present that they can easily redirect. The lion share of that capacity would be already booking and working or those packaging firms are doing a terrible job of trying to stay in business, never mind make a profit.

There is only one place on earth that can rapidly spin up additional packaging capacity to take on the massive amount of demand this might generate, and that’s precisely the country the European fools have just pissed off by trying to rob it of one of its companies that started this whole cycle of events.

If the Koreans were not aware, this treatment is typical of a white supremacist world order as envisioned by the Anglo five eyes. It’s on

are the U.S. ruling class hoping all of those unemployed will join the military for their desired war to “reset the board”? I don’t know but I wouldn’t put it past them if it was also a case of careless money grubbing typical of a mercantilist state.

I'm surprised there aren't more anti Americanism in these countries especially getting bullied like this and then taking it. This is the power of propaganda. They just feel like it's ok to sit back and take it, but if these deals make them sell less to the US, then in the future the US would have less economic leverage

I thought Malaysia was pretty friendly to china right now, so I doubt much will come of it.

Cambodia relies too much on China especially it's geography. I doubt they will be able to go against china much. It's like Mongolia trying to be anti china and anti Russia. Lol
When dealing with smaller countries. One should not expect too much loyalty. Most of these countries practice Western-style electoral democracy, so expect their foreign policy to flip flop whenever there is a leadership change. It doesn't help that the US is also busy meddling in the information and politics in these countries. So expect stupid things to happen once in awhile.

Malaysia is China-friendly as long as the current Anwar-led government is in charge. They are pragmatic. They know how to butter the Americans when Trump is here. They won't go too far with America's anti-China agenda.

However the Anwar government is not likely retain power in the next general elections. Because the youths of the Malay majority want a Malay supremacist leader. They generally don't like China, but they dislike the Israelis and Americans even more. In addition, too many urban non-Malays are eating the NED bullshit in the media. So the future is not certain.

What China is doing right now is he right thing. They focus on business, and don't get overly emotional over every minor issue. Unless off course, that nation crosses non-negotiable red lines. However China had proven to be patient. It won't instantly react to negative actions by minor countries until a certain pattern of hostility develops. China doesn't flip flop or go crazy like Trump or India. That is why it can sustain business relationships much better than them.
