So how come the CEO of Nexperia was going to layoff the workers if Nexperia had just increased capacity in those very same European fabs? These people are just retarded.

They are just spinning. Dutch should throw their pathetic excuses to Germany and it's workers when chip supplies and then factories production goes to zero

China should just close all channels of communication and let the Euros handle this mess themselves. Until then, chip ban will stand.

I am sure China wouldn't mind if it traded one Nexperia for a couple EU automakers going down or/and Chinese carmakers getting more marketshare

happily I see that US automakers are also similarly affected. If there’s one takeaway from all of this, it is that Dutch industry must die. EU investment environment is now Indian grade. It remains to be seen what the Europeans will do to resolve this.

Of course they could. Malaysia has a lot of packaging capacity as does Taiwan.
But it would require certification. Remember these are automotive grade components.

China could simply say to Malaysia to not recognize Dutch Nexperia as the legal owner of the company.

China could take this extra territorial and use RE exports controls to ensure that either EU industry dies or Dutch Nexperia dies, or they return it back (+ damages)

As the article said they are making simple switches, using common tech and they already have the trade secrets. So how hard can it be for europe...
