Look, I do agree with some of the other things you said about LKY and his politics, but these were absolutely not obvious at that time!!! This was in 1992 FFS!!! The height of western dominance and imperialism. It is an all-out western victory throughout the entire world and just 1 year after the complete US victory in the Gulf war followed by the dissolution of the USSR, there is literally not a greater time where the disparity between the west and the world were this big no matter in the fields of development, technology, economy, military or the belief in the western system. Saying "Democracy brings regression" at that time is perceived to be completely bonkers by anyone normal. (And honestly, I do not blame them)
Also, the age of patriotic Hkers were in 1950s, 1990s were the rise of cockroaches due to western worship cuck mindset and the British efforts to make handover problematic for China.
You are operating on the assumption that everyone back then somehow all has the hindsight of today and able to tell the future which is a serious reach.This point, is new to me, I almost tempted to use the word revisionism!
