You know, there is a way to play this, I can just feel it, but do not know what it is. I don't really care either, because I do not follow politics.
Still, kind of obvious who is still in control of this game, like how they say in NFL football sometimes one team controls the game. Here it is the silent one.
The motivations are coming out in the open. Stress tends to do that to people, reveal the truth. Nothing more pressure than people dying, unfortunate, the true face shows.
China seems to have some enormous leverage here, but never thought about it. We watch and see how this plays out.

I wish they would do this in Toronto! That is why America is a great country! It stands up for what it believes in, and those Americans always never liked the foreigner, as in those damn foreigners! Especially those in America illegally or under false pretenses which is sort of illegal too.

This is why I think a deal over TikTok is actually possible, because the two sides priorities and red lines are very different.
For China, the red line is tech ownership and protection of its companies abroad, with profits a distance tertiary consideration.
For America, the absolute red line is controlling what it’s people sees and says online and making money.
If America wants to blow up the importance of TikTok and trade real world concessions for getting Jews to censor a bespoke version of TikTok behind a Digital Fools Gold Fence, and maybe take a bigger share of the profits of purely US ad revenue, well, that’s not actually something China cannot accept.
Indeed, with the increased JaiHindification of America, ring fencing American content creators and their increasingly explicit pornographic and rage bait and hood rat antics isn’t much of a real loss for the rest of the world and could easily be argued as an absolute win.
What’s almost certain to happen is that after spending enormous political capital and real capital to buy this bespoke developed American TurdTok, American users will abandon it in droves and turn to the digital underground to get VPN access to the original TikTok anyways.
