Pentagon's innovation unit chief resigns in latest shake-up, sources say

The head of a Pentagon unit responsible for accelerating the military's adoption of new technology resigned on Monday, according to four people familiar with the matter, the latest exit of a senior military official whose political views have clashed with those of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Doug Beck, director of the Silicon Valley-based Defense Innovation Unit, told staff in an email that he was stepping down, the people said. He did not provide a reason for his departure in the email, but wrote that working at the DIU was "basically the greatest honor of my life," according to a person with direct knowledge of the email.

"People have become so tired of winning, that they have taken to the streets, realising another threat to the iron rule of the CCP. This shows a remarkable deterioration from last year, where such wins were welcomed against the backdrop of an increasingly bleak world"

They probably meant the costs of maintaining the propaganda spewing machine.

They aren’t happy about China funding scientific and technological fields. It is an “misallocation of resources” dragging Chinese growth down.

Their soluation is probably China should buy western technologies because it already exist. Therefore China is wasting money creating an alternative.

The process, often referred to as an “innovation chain” in policy documents, has led to rapid advances in a number of fields. Yet the costs of the model are also mounting. Critics argue that it has wrought a vast misallocation of resources which is dragging down China’s economic growth.
local-government financing vehicles, reached 124% of gdp. May have little choice but to dial down government support for new technologies.

Pretty funny microcosm into the brain-rot that seems to be endemic across the American ruling classes where they are literally just running out of fresh ideas even in their most dominant field of mental gymnastics.

What an almighty fall from the days where western news was the news, and Hollywood controlled the world’s tastes. Now everything is a CHATGPT warmed up copy-paste of something done earlier; a reboot, a reimagining or an adaptation.

How stupid of india to clash like this with USA- "vishwaguru" modi and his preening,puffed-up ego vs "The Donald" Trump 's puffed-up,"stable genius",ego. The indians should have studied the psychological dynamics at play and adjusted accordingly but their inept,hyper-emotional,knee-jerk hubris just ran head-long into Trump. And the Trumpster doesn't forgive nor forget and is sulkingly stubborn and vindictive against all who opposed him especially weaklings /vassals who should've known and acted better. :(

They could’ve been spared the current humiliation if only they didn’t drink their own koolaid and performed better on May 7th. Trump does not like losers who get seven planes shot down.

They have a disdain toward engineers and scientists in general and don't even listen to their own experts. Of course, they would feel funding scientific and technologies fields as mis-allocation.

They only want China to buy just so they could refuse to sell.
