The question is what China actually got in return. If they didn't get anything and just did this to keep India friendly then its a huge loss for China. I hope they are not that naive

That doesn't tell a lot, China GDP PPP is about 40 trillion, twice the EU, given that China today is more self-reliant that have ever been, now matter more than in the past. China GDP growth is about 5%, the US is 2.0% and the EU is about 1.3%. So China is growing three time faster than the EU. And China high tech firms are having more growing influence that EU high tech firms, with the exception of ASML, just look AI for comparison.
This faulty reasons. why war ending should depend on Ukrane lack of weopons or Zelensky land swap? It entirely depends on when Russia effectively deploy its weopons. US is colonial. The poor countries are it's producers and workers from which it buys tangible goods for cheap using wealth generated from intangible speculation and bogus financial instruments. Constant warfare and political interference is necessary to sustain this system.

Nevertheless, your overall point is well-taken. As do you, I also believe that the rate and scale of China's economic and technological development have exceeded that of the so-called "Asian Tigers." Why, then, is China's rise not likewise referred to as a "miracle"? Because from the Occidental Abrahamic perspective, the ChiComs are demons if not Satan him/herself, and by definition, the works of demons/Satan cannot be "miracles."
