Should've just put a Russian engine and be done with it. One RD-33 would've been enough, about the same output as the F404. Or a more powerful R-29.
India has license for RD-33 but if they want to upgrade to upgraded RD-93MA which is now 5G engine the price can be higher.

Being so close to Pakistan, should have learned easily that everything from the US comes with strings attached / manipulation is guaranteed unless you can provide major value (i.e. w/ Pakistan: Soviet + later NATO Invasion of Afghanistan).
India has interactions with Gulf Monarchies but fail to learn from them about buying US weopons.
thats the complexity of Soft Power you can observe it but cannot learn. India additional mistake is buying Rafale without thinking about New Europe.

Pretty good write up about how China is a nation of engineers and America is a nation of lawyers. But its still misses a crucial issue in the US China comparison. China is a nation of workers and producers and the US is a nation of speculators and consumers. The gap between the US and China is far larger than the authors of this article or the book would suggest. The underpinning of China's economy is production while the underpinning of the US economy is speculation. And unless America allows its massive and multiple asset bubble's to burst and suffer the consequences of that. And start from the bottom America will not be able to effectively compete against China.

Even in the mountain areas next to Russia which are poor as hell, you will see Indians in places like Georgia and Armenia. They are even in Ukraine which is in the middle of a war. Not Dagestan or Chechenya though coz they are Muslim and they are very fierce fighters. At least for the time being....

It just blows my mind. They really are everywhere. With how fast things are due to the internet, the world is gonna start noticing really soon.

Jaishankar always talks tough when in India but curls up when he has to deal with actual powers.

Some rumours on social media say China has lifted export restrictions of rare earth, fertilisers, tunnel boring machines to India.

Has this been officially confirmed or the typical fake news from Indian propaganda?

Indians are so amateurish. Yes, it's very likely they are out of the good graces of the Amerikkkans, but the speed at which they crawled back to China shows a huge lack of deftness in handling their own image. Had they waited a few months, sacrificed a little and slow walked back into recuperating China ties, they wouldn't come off so desperate on the global stage.
