This is bad, if China just waited another month or so they will be in a much better negotiating position.

No, man, this is not bad. The article says,

"China says it is “currently assessing” proposals by the United States to begin trade talks, in a subtle tone shift that could open the door for negotiations.

A spokesperson for China’s Commerce Ministry said in a Friday statement that “the US has recently sent multiple messages to China through relevant parties, hoping to start talks with China. China is currently evaluating this.”

This is a pretty high and mighty retort saying that America really wants to negotiate with us. We have received that request and we will think about whether or not we will give them that chance. It's kinda bitchy-cute actually.

India's demographics are strong and there is thus both an opportunity and an urgency to make use of it. When you have tons of people and not enough work / resources for them, what do you do? That's right. Fight for more living space.
India's demographics are a challenge. Unable to provide job, education and decent livelihood.

2.4 million job applicants for a extremely simple peon position.

India doesn't need external enemies, it will crumble from within. The daily news is just inter-caste fights, religious tensions, crumbling environment and infrastructure, riots, gobar-class education.

Who needs enemy when we have scientists likes this?

So if they are all so capable, why isn't India a superpower today? I'm sure you know that East Asian states, no matter how small or big, play a far oversized role in global economy and technology.

Not to say this is my personal answer to your question, but others have suggested that the situation in question (the condition of India v. the socioeconomics of Indian-Americans) is a result of selective immigration.

The argument is more or less that only the best and brightest Indians are usually able to immigrate to the West in general and the US in particular, and these "best and brightest Indians" and their progeny tend to outperform the average American.

On the other hand, the totality of average Indians are principally responsible for the current condition and future state of India, and the

Assessing means there will be behind the scenes talks. If China just waited another month or so then there will be shortages in the US and China will have in a much stronger position on the negotiation table. Or better yet don't talk at all and just let the US economy rip. America made a serious mistake with Liberation Day and China should not give America the breathing room that she is giving her now.

Assessing such complex matter is highly time consuming process, who knows it may take more than three months to work out the basics like which brand of tea we should use in our negotiation meetings

It's the smart way to handle it. China understands that it can't be seen as bending to Trump so it has to make these announcements, if the Americans deny it then trade war continues but if they don't deny it then it must be true and it makes China look stronger.

The US must remove all unilateral tariffs first. You can use whatever translation tool on this.

And also, China doesn't want to tell the US to F off publically either to look super tough because it rather enjoys having the whole world view it as the responsible party, NOT the country trying to go for the kill shot on the other one. Because in the end, I think the US will see its economic power diminished and it will feel quite mortal after this round with China, but it's not the last nail in the coffin yet so China's not gonna be throwing the kitchen sink at it.

US is also provoking China with Iranian oil secondary sanctions

I think tariffs will stay for quite some time.

Imagine US threatening China with high tariffs every single time every week or so until China completely bends over and let US do whatever it wants. Better make a stand now. There is already an embargo, no difference from 140% liberation tariffs or whatever 500% Iranian oil tariffs
