I don’t know when this was recorded but Thiel looks like a nervous Nellie repeating Trump’s trade policy. Did reality hit the Trumptards where now they know decoupling with China will sink the US? Now you know where JD Vance got his infamous take on globalization where the West would be the masters that got rich while everyone else would be the workers and stayed poor. Thiel thinks the US can “reset” the US\China relationship by eliminating the dual use dangers meaning have Chinese slave labor make things for the US but somehow stop China from learning/benefiting anything of their own from it. Why not just end relations entirely if he’s so worried about the dual use threat? Oh yeah because disengaging with China will crash the US economy. It’s like typical Republicans where they want to benefit from racism but somehow they don’t want to be called a racist.

On a side note… Peter Thiel is gay. JD Vance was an underling of Thiel. There are rumors that JD Vance is gay because he uses eyeliner…

Just was laughing at so many websites trolling "Smokey eye"Vance- especially one with the really cute Chinese "peasant"baby boy telling Vance the price of his eyeliner will rise astronomically should the tariff wars continue-and many comments were from gays/lesbians who said that Vance "trips" their"gadar" (gay radar) very strongly-really what normal man wears eyeliner?-when I first saw him,he reminded me of the eyelinered/mascared Egyptian court eunuchs from films(like Cleopatra).So 2 of China's top adversarys spend 1 or 2 hours every morning putting on makeup before confronting XJP and the CPC?Don't know what to say.

I find it somewhat ironic that the steps Campbell offered is also quite congruent with the ending of US hegemony. I wonder if the irony is apparentn to the author.

The article is basically "How to rejuvenate the US Empire". Like I've said, they need to give it a rest and transition to a multilateral and decentralized world. All this madness because they don't want to lose number one status is starting to sound pathetic, no country holds divine right to rule over others. Besides, America will never share tech with others. What if some less than US friendly leader emerges in one of these partner countries with access to all this new tech? Empires have come and gone, it won't be the end of the world if America isn't numero uno anymore.

I am starting to think China is getting ripped off for providing "cheap" and advance labor to help a country that treats it as an enemy.

It's so bizarre how much of the west is starting to feel like the Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc when it was near the end of its collapse. Complete with name calling and everything.

There are folks who are seeing the writing on the wall and just don't want to go through tension and confrontation just to maintain old empires. Some of these fossils want the world to subordinate itself to a system that just can't hold water anymore. This is why China's rise is important, the world has options on who it can deal with in case hegemon f*cks up. Can you imagine if Trump was President in the 1990s or the early 2000s? We'd be in for a tough time.
