US does not actually make semiconductors China can't already make, hence why they want to force TSMC to build fabs there.
China however can ban any US produced semiconductors from passing through China's supply chain, which will actually kill off their use in any consumer applications.
China can also of course blockade TSMC or even Korea through secondary sanctions if s* hit the fan.

There's an important concept surprisingly few people understand: chips need to be built into an electronic device to be of any use, and that electronic device needs every single chip for it to function, you miss one, even if its only a $0.2 voltage regulator, and nothing works, and this has been directly demonstrated during the chip shortage

So I came across this movie called G20. Basically the black women president and other g20 leaders get kidnapped at a summit in south africa. And somehow she managed to kill all the bad guys die hard style.

Got me thinking, how dare the west accuse Chinese movies of being propaganda when the release this slop on the big screen without an ounce of hesitation. Honestly Chinese propaganda looks like a realistic documentary compared to this crap. Battle of changjin lake actually happened even if they wanna pretend it didn't.

So if you wonder why westoids have such delusional and lacking awareness takes, just remember they consume slop like this 24/7 since birth.

Idk, I don't think tourism is a great sector. Adds strain to the infrastructure, crowding, etc. for pretty minimal gains when you facture all those costs, plus don't forget about criminals, sex pests, etc., I would not want China to be swarmed with those types that roam SEA.

I tend to disagree brother, right now my business was a beneficiary of a Chinese subsidies program to help their tourism program. I just returned from Guiyang Guizhou last Wednesday escorting a group, you know how much it cost for a 6d5n full board tour package? $599 all in including my AC. An airline ticket alone using CZ cost approximately the same amount, so how much did the Chinese gov't provide for the subsidies? $1,000 per pax, that excessively expensive if you ask me BUT the benefit outweigh the negative, the reason, the money stay inside the country and that money was use to pay for the driver, the tour guide, the Bus company, the restaurant and the hotel. It stimulate the local economy and employment as we had to buy stuff that is unique for that region Like Moutai wine. ;)

There's a catch of course we have to join a compulsory shopping and here a tax rebate may help as the Local charge us to heaven regarding their wares, plus it was a pain to haggle that may lead to misunderstanding as the Chinese are known for their power selling that is over the top.;)

That ChinaObserver channel sometimes comes into my feed. I am curious, where do they get all those interviews from? Are they paid actors or is it just a case of in a country of 1.4bn and 60m companies there will always be the unlucky cases of failures?
