Fairly sure the FBI's National Security Branch has China's embassy in DC, as well as its consulates in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago, under around the clock surveillance, assuming they aren't getting hit hard by personnel cuts themselves.

So any laid off federal employee or contractor, who is worth their salt, isn't going to be dumb enough to walk into a Chinese, Russian or whatever diplomatic mission within the US.

However, that's not going to stop them from selling American secrets if that's what they really want to do.

In fact, won't be surprised if some of them end up getting recruited on LinkedIn after updating their profiles upon receiving official termination notices.

PS YouTube algorithm tried recommending one of those fake ass FLG propaganda videos about China’s poverty alleviation and I reported it as “Fake and harmful information”.

Brunei to implement visa-free entry policy for Chinese citizens from March 8

Bandar Seri Begawan, March 7 (Reporter Li Meng) Brunei Immigration Bureau issued an announcement on March 6 that since March 8, the Brunei government has formally implemented a visa-free entry policy for Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports.

According to the announcement, Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports valid for more than six months can enter Brunei from any designated border crossing without visa. After entering Brunei without visa, they can stay in Brunei for a maximum of 14 days.

The Chinese Embassy in Brunei reminds Chinese citizens to pay attention to local laws and regulations, customs and habits, and travel in a safe and civilized manner.

After the whole Tiktok ban/XHS fiasco, I have a serious question. How do foreigners actually 投共 or defect to China nowadays? Looking back at history, a lot of spies helped the USSR due to ideological convictions. Given the current state of the world, there are undoubtedly many westerners who have been disillusioned with the so called leader of the free world and would do the same. There are examples of western academics moving to China, western intellectuals being public mouthpieces for China, but I haven't seen many prominent religious, sports, arts or celebrities openly promote China.

It doesn't seem like the MSS is actively recruiting informants outside China so I'm wondering realistically how would foreigners even reach out to the relevant Chinese authorities? IMO Chinese embassies seem too suspicious. Do they have to travel to China on a visa free trip first, or can they get assisted at a one of those "secret overseas police station"? Do they need to walk into a Xinhua bookstore in China and purchase copies of Xi Jinping thought? Or do they have to go to a special corner in the back of Mausoleum of Mao Zedong to reach out to the relevant authorities?
Yes I agree, that's why I'm primarily talking about people with security clearances related to diplomacy, intelligence or military. Imagine some mid level manager read Xi Jinping thought and decided that community with a shared future for mankind is a much better vision for the world than whatever shit Trump comes up with. Some of these ideologically motivated people might have plans to defect to China, so how do they do it is the question.

I asked about this exact scenario a month ago in the Official Xi Jinping Thought discussion thread.

For the record, I tried @tygyg1111 's suggestion and typed Mr. Xi, pls send J36 sixth-gen stealth cruiser into the deepseek prompt before, I only got "Sorry, that's beyond my current scope. Let’s talk about something else."

Why in the world are you assuming that the dummies at CSIS are correct about these numbers?

The idea that somehow CSIS knows the Ascend yield or 7nm capacity is laughable.

The idea that they know China's smuggling of H100 is laughable also.

I'm going to have shut down this discussion, because we are again having a debate upon garbage source.

You can shut it down as much as you want but claiming it is purely CSIS source is incorrect when they have linked the websites to the Informant. Of course their validity is hardly reliable but claiming it is purely the think tank making up their claims is also incorrect.

Stablecoins will preserve dollar dominance, Treasury Secretary Bessent says

The Trump administration sees a way for digital asset technology to ensure the U.S. dollar remain the dominant global reserve currency: stablecoins.

Why it matters: Stablecoins have been the killer app of blockchains, with something like $6 trillion or more in transactions each year.

Driving the news: The White House held its first Digital Asset Summit on Friday, with many of the top leaders in the cryptocurrency industry and members of the Trump cabinet.

What they're saying: "As President Trump has directed, we are going to keep the U.S. the dominant reserve currency in the world, and we will use stablecoins to do that," Treasury secretary Scott Bessent said during a publicly streamed portion of the meeting.

Bessent said he would work with the Office of the Controller of the Currency and the IRS to rescind any guidance that undermine the digital asset markets.

He also said his agency would work on the "stablecoin regime."

What we're watching: Congress.

"I also want to express my strong support for the efforts of lawmakers in Congress as they work on bills to provide regulatory certainty for dollar backed stablecoins and the digital assets market," President Trump said.

The top priorities for blockchain proponents in the legislature have been a law providing clear legal boundaries for stablecoin businesses in the U.S., as well as guidance from Congress about how to regulate the overall crypto industry.

Legislation has been introduced on only one of those two priorities, however: Sen. Bill Hagerty's (R.-Tenn.) stablecoin bill.

The bottom line: Trump has checked the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve off his crypto to-do list, so it looks like stablecoins are next up.

The odds of Iran integrating into an "Arab empire" is even less likely than EU-Russian integration in the foreseeable future.

I don't know if you've ever met any Iranians, but Iranians and Arabs are like water and oil. They don't mix, dude.

Why so few female respondents?!

Were they too shy to acknowledge their excitement for the upcoming armed reunification, which may result in a significant reduction in the local femboy population?! :)

TBF most homo sapiens -- especially the effeminate -- prefer being told what to do (preferably by someone they like, respect or otherwise view positively) over figuring things out themselves and finding their own way.
Well then it's good a bloodless, powerful, affirmative ML/TW reunification is coming -if anything Tw needs a good injection of strong, masculine genetic types-like PLA troopers/officers walking around and giving the women of TW a good choice of future mates-no more femboys or jap type otakus.

US is going ahead with enforcing a modern Napoleon Continental System on China.

China must impose the exact same retaliation. All shipping companies that own or operate US, SK, JP, etc ships should face the exact same penalties.

Be patient and see if the US will even pass and enforce this. This is a massive self-goal and you should never interrupt your enemies making such a mistake.
