Good video. I cannot say myself having seen many high end supermarkets but I have to admit that this is one of the best based on what's shown in the video. Well lit, everything clean and in order, helpful and polite staff.

Most of the expensive items highlighted in the video seem to be the imported foreign goods. They might have high duties included in their prices, in addition to possibly high margins. Some prices of the local produce are not bad, like less than 2 CAD for that cup of cherry tomatoes, less than 5 CAD for 12 free run chicken eggs. They are cheaper than the Canadian ones actually.

Cook Islands PM beats no-confidence vote over China deals

Cook Islands Prime Minister Mark Brown survived on Wednesday a vote of no-confidence in parliament brought by the opposition over deals he struck with China that strained relations with New Zealand.

Members of parliament voted 13-9 to defeat the motion introduced by the Cook Islands United Party. Two members abstained from voting.

Brown visited Beijing this month to strike a strategic partnership with China spanning education, the economy, infrastructure, fisheries, disaster management and seabed mining.

This flags are not based on voting record and most countries abstained. when it comes to show the cards in Public.
Turkey is respected atleast they put the vote where they believe there interests.
Only Arabs have that Soft Power that dont need to show the cards. that word continue and finest qualities of Muslims have meaning to convey by Putin.
The most important flag is UAE. without UAE this India would not have happened. I think Indian prices include taxes but their VAT system is complicated to say the least. Popcorn has different tiers of taxes and concrete has an 28% luxury tax imposed on it.

I wonder if this "strawberry" business is some sort of code for "Ichi-Go" the massive IJA offensive late in 1944 which was designed to knock KMTChina out of the war and secure China as a victory at last-for some sort of geopolitical nonsense from japan???Maybe I read too much but still keeping guard up as should China(I really have no worries on that aspect)

True. But for some things like dairy or meat (e.g. pork in an Arab country) there's no option but to import.

Another thing is, I'm sure most of the stuff in these supermarkets is never bought and is sat on shelves for months. I remember telling a member of staff that something had expired, they said okay and took it off the shelf.

The next time I went there it had been put back up.
