Yeah, and China will just watch without doing anything? Ofcourse not. China will Bomb Japan before it ever gets nuke. Look at Israels playbook of Bombing Iraq and Syrian Nuclear plants. China will absolutely not allow Japan to have Nukes.

As for South Korea, Its too close to Beijing to have Nukes as well. I think China will put enormous military pressure on South Korea to give up.

I would say the best measure is how well a civilization survives and adapts and proliferates (e.g. its lifespan) and the time period it takes for a rags to riches style rise (response to stimuli).

I'm sure the Chinese military already have counter plans should that become a reality. I would expect it if a hot war erupts between China and the US.

As others here already have pointed out, China can pick and choose who they can arm with their weapons as the US have foolishly made enemies over the years for China and others to support.

There is something deeply wrong with the mental health of these Westernised Chinese. Many of them have this "pick me" mentality where they try to shit on China and praise America every chance they get. This comes from their deep insecurity knowing they will never be truly accepted as American by the white power holders.

Exactly this. The US can bluff all it wants about Japanese and South Korean nukes but at the end of the day: 1) South Koreans and Japanese are highly nationalistic & thus care far more about their own survival than America’s and won’t launch nukes at Washington’s command, 2) them having nukes actually decreases Washington’s leverage both in the region and around the world since “in a world where everyone is special, no one is.” And US hegemony is of course contingent on it being special and being able to threaten other countries without being threatened in return.
