Anglos were never good at competing on an equal footing, they just rocked from one razed settlement to another, living off the spoils of war like pirates. Chinese companies already wanted to build battery plants in the US. I think trump would be fine with just assembly of parts in the US. Motor and electronics can be shipped in from China and some other materials could be from OEM based in the US. Kinda win win. Could be the same GM-SAIC
