This is not 1996 anymore, so that article sounds like an exaggeration at best. In my opinion, neither SCMP nor Minnie Chan is particularly reliable. On the other hand, she is not the first female Chinese diaspora reporter temporarily disappeared in China.

Good . That's why I felt that SCMP quality had gotten better recently. Now the MSS should take care of Stephen Chen as well and all is good.

That would be the biggest garbage taken out of SCMP
