When are we going to see news stories in the West of regular Chinese rioting on the streets because they’re losing their jobs to robots.

That is probably why Canada joined NATO - so US doesn't run all over it. Better join the devil willingly instead of it forcing you in with destruction.Clearly don't know the use of NATO for Canada... it is way more at risk of being invaded by USA that already pull most of the strings than anything else. And 2% on defense will never stop the US doing what it want, even more with them all over the place in our military bases. The only use of being in NATO is if the US stay in NATO. If the US bail out, it's means it's over and no country will be going to help us anyway.
Canada's intention to join AUKUS may appear as an attempt to gang up against China in the SCS or Taiwan. But, it's true intentions may lie in the Arctic since that area will become if it hasn't already the next battle ground for control, resources, and geopolitics. Russia is it's neighbor and having China entering the Arctic it makes sense for Canada to join from a defense savings cost.

The US has radar installations littered all over Nunavut.
I checked it after this comment. Canada has 12 frigates whose SAM load is 16 ESSMs. It also has four 30 year old SSKs and a single 26k ton replenishment vessel. These are the only relevant vessels they have. They can lose to a single 055. I wouldn't take their AUKUS bid seriously either. Trudeau loves to pretend he cares about defense.
Appropriate; it's considered giving someone bad luck when you give them Hell Money. You want to demand 1 TRILLION from China? Here it is. Come and get it muthaf**kers!

It's more accurate to consider that Australians have the biggest inferiority complexes out of the Anglo Five Eyes; they are descendants of convicts and low class british and irish and found that the biggest thing they could cleave to was white supremacy. Their place in the world has been dominated by fears of being 'swamped by asians' because it is inevitable that being this close to Asia, that China is going to dominate all aspects of Australia society sooner or later.Interesting comparison. Gurkhas are mercenaries employed by British empire, well known for their loyalty to their employers and ferocity in battle. So much so Singapore leaders like Lee Kuan Yew even inherited the practice and used them like a personal protection force to guard the elite leaders. I’ve seen them myself guarding outside residences of important Singapore leaders. Never thought I see the day Aus are compared to them lol. Then again Aus is used like local enforcer of the US empire in Asia pacific. So I guess there are similarities
The entire Anglosphere owes reparations to the massacred and pogroms against Chinese settlers and immigrants. I would be content for all of the Five Eyes to give up their lands to China and return to the isle of Britain as a newly fashioned penal colony.Another day, another new demand from the disgruntled American class. This time it's asking their U.S. gov't to demand that China pays back the U.S. what it owed to the tune of $1 TRILLION U.S.D.
They didn't originate in Britain, rather invaded it from northern Germania. The entire Anglosphere owes reparations to the massacred and pogroms against Chinese settlers and immigrants. Here's the answer to my own question: CANADA SEEKS TO JOIN AUKUS.
Not only was it a highly dangerous voyage, where people sometimes died of disease or shipwreck, but the colonies themselves initially had a pretty marginal lifestyle.Early Anglo-Saxon settlers of North America were also largely convicts and criminals. None of the nobles wanted to go on the perilous journey across the Atlantic until much later.
Sure they are. And the UK got a dozen Type 45 destroyers.

Canada currently has only 12 frigates and they have smaller displacement. It is highly unlikely they will buy 15 of these ships.
