Can't say I blame them tbh.
Looks like Spain will have its own Belgorod raid.

Why must EV companies invest so much and follow India's strict rules when India's rules can be bent at anytime? Is India that attractive of a market to warrant such investment and risks? How lucrative actually is the Indian market? Where are there supply chains in India?Let’s look at the policy first. It stipulates that companies looking to tap into India’s lucrative EV market are required to invest a minimum of $500 million. To be eligible, companies must set up manufacturing plants in the country and start commercial production of EVs within three years. This applies to greenfield projects.
India’s real strength
While China has inherent strengths in manufacturing, it is a no-brainer that India’s strength lies in software. Quality software is a crucial component of an EV’s competitive advantage.
India's magic bullet is Software and IT again? Jai Hinds and Westerners have been banging on that point for decades already and where is India today? It's not like Indian IT and software are that great anyway. Not too long ago, an Indian firm was outsourced by Boeing to write the codes for the 737 Max planes. We all knew what happened to those planes. Outsourcing programming to India can be deadly. For example, almost every financial transaction in the world, amounting to trillions of dollars, has an Indian IT software footprint. Also, large software exporters such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and L&T Technologies have been developing software and maintaining IT systems for companies such as Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Kia, and others over the past two decades.
LoL! What a load of Jai Hind stupidity! Who cares how recognized Indian motor companies are compared to Chinese ones. Sure Tata and Mahindra were already known before Geely and BYD popped up. But who are more famous now? Was Tata ever a competitor to Toyota, GMC, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz, Tesla, etc? Just because Tata has Modi to carry it, it already thinks that it can conquer the world. It's classic Jai Hind mentality. This is the very thing that destroys competitiveness. Also, India has internationally recognized brands such as Tata Motors, Mahindra, Bajaj, which was not the case when China started out its EV play.
Tata and Mahindra are just older. Tata, for instance, was founded by collaborators who sold India to the British imperialists and helped the British Empire oppress Africans i.e. byJai Hinds boasting again when they haven't even started anything.

Is China not competitive in IT and software? What about Wechat, Alibaba, Bytedance, Harmony OS, etc? In addition to the software developed and used by DJI, BYD, etc? Where are India's super world famous softwares and apps?

Good. I like Jai Hind articles like this. It helps to keep India happy, complacent, and deluded. More of the same please.
India doesn't have a software industry. It has a software servicing industry. Aka outsourced maintaining actual software solutions from the US like Oracle or Microsoft (which are bloated as hell now).Jai Hinds boasting again when they haven't even started anything.

Thats such a big meme, most financial transactions that have a Indian footprint is because financial institution in the past outsourced to india IT service companies. When my generation of software developer graduated we had to clean up and still are cleaning up the mess from that decade of outsourcing. And in 10~15 years we will have to clean up the mess created by generative AI because that shit is even below low paid Indians skill level i worked with.Jai Hinds boasting again when they haven't even started anything.

You gotta understand that sensationalist news and reports like these are needed by the Brahmin (minority elite caste) to perpetuate the subjugation of the lower castes - give them the illusion that the status quo of power is making great progress towards superpower status while they (the majority lower castes) remain content in their servitude.Jai Hinds boasting again when they haven't even started anything.
It's funny. A lot of people think Chinese regulations have a lot of redtape and all that but from my experience for financial stuff at least it's quite simple relatively speaking despite all the documentation. This makes it quite easy to deal with Chinese stuff not to mention people are quite obedient and abide by the rules.Thats such a big meme, most financial transactions that have a Indian footprint is because financial institution in the past outsourced to india IT service companies. Im not saying Indian developers are bad because that is far very far from reality they are skill full but western companies don't outsource too those indians. Those skill full indians are working for US bigtech companies not Indian outsource consultancies.
I noticed despite Indians like talking so much, they are not actually come up with trends themselves. They are just bandwagoning whatever stuff China is doing. Semiconductor, EVs, AI, going to space etc. Not even trying to bandwagon what Silicon Valley does because that doesnt get enough news for them to know if it's a trend to copy.Tata and Mahindra are just older. Tata, for instance, was founded by collaborators who sold India to the British imperialists and helped the British Empire oppress Africans i.e. by
BYD took 65% of the global NiCd battery market - in 2002. That was all you had to know to realize that they were going to be an EV, battery and semiconductor giant. Despite being older, Tata has never dominated a market like BYD has.
