For reference, Tilly Zhang has an undergrad major in journalism, and Doug Fuller ("a Chip Researcher") has a political science PhD and works at a business school.

These are the caliber of subject matter experts (SMEs) that are consulted on the success of semiconductor sanctions. You can tell they don't consult real semiconductor experts, just MBAs, PoliSci, English Lit, Journalism majors who regurgitate outdated information.

I am way more qualified than either of these jokers on semiconductor matters. I’ve taken several semiconductor courses in undergrad and have hands on experience in a fab during my internship. I have a feeling that neither of these idiots can explain how MOSFET works or know what logically complete is off the top of their dumbass heads.

We live in a universe where the foremost experts on China do not speak a lick of mandarin and have never set foot in the country, and the foremost experts on semiconductors are gender studies majors. What an interesting universe we live in.

What is a Bharat? It sounds like a disease. Do we now have to call Indians Bharatians?

Do these Indians really expect other countries to change their languages just to please them? This is the geopolitical version of changing your pronouns. The same with Turkey/Turkiye shit. I blame "the Ukraine" for starting it all off.
It actually worked, few years ago South Korea demanded China and Japan to change the name of their capital Seoul in Chinese/Japanese language from 汉城 to 首尔. As far as I known lots of Chinese medias complied..

The act is stupid by all standards of course. 汉城 was not a name imposed by Chinese, but was Korean's own choice when they named the city using Hanja. It was then adopted by China and Japan due to the fact that Hanja is the same thing as Chinese character and Japanese Kanji.

India (according to wiki) is ultimately a word from Sanskrit which is Inidan culture. It then was taken by Persians and passed on to the rest of the world. It has nothing to do with British colonial rule. Essentially India is similar to China (Qin) passed on by Persions to the west.
