How significant was this Mate 60 Pro?
I am beginning to think, that is it right up there with the PVA crossing the Ya Lu River, or the Tet Offensive.
This is not exactly war, but you know what I am talking about. Those other actual war events, changed everything.
The appearance of this phone, and its specs, the industrial power behind that to make it possible, this feels like it will change everything too.
Come to think of it, the American reaction is the same, to all three events, stunned disbelief, their mouthpieces retreat in total silence.
At a minimum, we can safely assume, just like when PVA crossed the border, and the Tet Offensive, it changed the course of the war, and in turn it changed the course of history.
It is what Carl von Clausewitz said, that war is just an extension of the political process.
This tech war, I like following the tech aspects of it, and of course the various economic issues as well. Politics, I don't follow.
Therefore, this phone I know is a political event too. However, I do not believe anyone really knows what the fallout will be? Even though I suspect it will change everything.
The Korean War cemented the Cold War for the next phase in the history of North East Asia, which we still live with today. The Tet Offensive was the beginning of the end for the Americans in Vietnam.
There is one detail, that there is a stark difference between the PVA crossing the Ya Lu and the Tet Offensive. The former was really a defensive act. The latter was an attack.
The Mate 60 Pro, is a counter-attack by China Inc in the tech war. This is an opening shot of it, this new offensive.
More will happen.
