The report alleges the group invested millions of dollars in publicly traded stocks of its own companies through offshore structures.
It names two individual investors who allegedly bought and sold the stocks on the group's behalf.
The report was published on Thursday by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), a global network of investigative journalists. The Guardian and Financial Times also published stories based on documents they provided.

German diplomats should act like the boss abroad, Der Spiegel . Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock would like the German ambassadors to intervene more, be more present and take a clear stance. That represents the value-based German foreign policy. Diplomatic restraint was yesterday.
In order to implement the new style, Baerbock has brought help into the house. Former Spiegel journalist Ralf Beste is to familiarize German diplomats with the minister's new communications strategy. Beste moved from Spiegel to the Foreign Office in 2014, then held the post of ambassador in Vienna. He should now establish and implement the attitude and value-based communication culture among his colleagues.
Baerbock at the annual reception of the Ambassadors' Conference in the World Hall of the Federal Foreign Office said:
"When in doubt, stand up. That's how foreign policy is communicated in the 21st century."
When the German Empire dispatched its troops to crush the "fists of justice and harmony", Kaiser Wilhelm, made a speech to his soldiers:
" No quarter will be given! Prisoners will not be taken! Just as a thousand years ago the Huns (...) made a name for themselves (...) may the name German in China be affirmed by you in such a way that for a thousand years no Chinese will dare to look cross-eyed at a German."
The German heroes of this carnage were honored by the Weimar State ... heroized during German fascism ... and are immortalized in street names in the Federal Republic of Germany. The capital Berlin commemorates these criminals and their cannons in the south of the city; in Cologne, there is a "Chinese Quarters," where, not Chinese names are commemorated, but rather those of their German murderers. The commemoration honors their great mission: to "keep China down."
if you want to look at what a 'democratic' China looks like, look at India or Philippines.
The US expecting China to pay so that Japan stays loyal to the US. That's what's essentially happening when the US going out of its way to help Japan make money from China. Japan says it political? The US sticking up for Japan isn't political? Let's see the US buy Japanese fish products like the West was suppose to rally and help buy Australian wine when China banned it. BTW Australia has stockpiles of unsold wine that the Chinese didn't buy that they will have to probably have to destroy like how France is doing because no one's buying. The US doesn't care about its own allies well being for what it wants. Do you think the US cares if Chinese people are getting poisoned with radioactive seafood? They could care less...
The West is deluded thinking they would know how to run China better than the Chinese. That's what they're saying every step of the way on how China's economy is collapsing and the West taking over is the only remedy. If they were in control of China like they wish, more than 99% of China's economy would be spent directly enriching the West. You know all that advance HSR in China that the US doesn't have...? It will be dismantled because anything that outshines the US and the West will be eliminated. It would be a modern day slavery but they would call it something else because they literally think just don't call it was it is and it isn't it.
"Value-based communication":
I guess the Germans really wishing they could just go back to the good old days:
So you're saying the Dutch, S Korean, and Japanese are the typical 二五仔 of HK triads.Okay, today had this thought, after reading the news posted by comrade olalavn in the semiconductor thread.
https://www.sinodefenceforum.com/t/chinese-semiconductor-industry.8479/post-1014537
A lot has happened the last two days, so just to summarized quickly, the US Commerce Secretary visits China in a fence mending mission. Huawei under US sanctions, debuts a phone that looks like the world's best phone at the moment, rendering US sanctions to joke status.
If the Huawei phone the Mate 60 Pro was a counter attack in this tech war, well, obviously the Dutch already running away from their foxhole. If the Americans should complain, well, the Raimondo visit is the perfect cover to start running. Does not appear the Dutch have any intention to be collateral damage. First chance they saw, they ran.
The only two people left in this semi-conductor foxhole is Yoon and that Japanese guy. But the tear downs of the Mate 60 Pro, found a Hynix memory chip. Hearing this news of that tear down, the Japanese guy looks over towards Yoon in the foxhole, but Yoon is not even there. It was a holographic mirage. Bye.
This is the way I would like to put it. The United States has assembled a gang to take on China. But this semi-conductor gang, is not interested in doing any actual gang work, like intimidation, robbery, extortion.
They are afraid of doing gang work, because they do not want to be collateral damage in this tech war.
Even American tech companies are afraid of being collateral damage in the tech war.
The leader of this gang, the White House, has a human resources problem within the gang.
This gang wants to look tough. But when the fighting starts, they run.
