That garbage is largely harmless, China has already semi appropriated anime as Chinese. What does need to be done (if not happening already) is a subtle change in the content of anime to promote more elements of Chinese influence and Chinese militarism.

Bangladesh PM's recent visit to Beijing didn't go well, she asked for a $5 Billion loan, only got $140 Million.

I will say there are some anime that are peak fiction. The original was really fucking good. A lot of relevance to today—conflict between an authoritarian state that is doing well and a failing liberal democracy. With a Chinese MC representing the democratic Alliance faction, too.
