China should be civilized and not ruin the lives of hundreds of millions of people because of geopolitics. India breaking up would be Yugoslavia breaking up times 10000.

India is already very decentralized with states formed with ethnic, language lines. State governments also have a lot of autonomy that operate almost like mini-governments. I don't think it will be like Yugoslavia. It might be more like breakup of the Soviet Union.
Great powers pursue policies that reduces threats and also boost their own influence. India as it is now is a huge threat for China. Yes, China is utilizing Pakistan to keep India off balance. But I don't think this will be viable long term. Sooner or later India will get powerful and super ambitious. They are already supporting Chinese adversaries like Tibetan Seperatists, Philippines and even Taiwan. Its obvious if they get powerful in the future, they will stop at nothing to cause problems for China. Sooner or later China will have to focus on India.

The SimCity strategy might also be an effective policy approach:
Raise taxes to maximum just before the year rolls over, profit, and drop them back down again before anybody notices.

India does not harbour any friendly intentions towards China. China should not make the mistake of not responding in kind.
Indians will live better lives if broken up. At least people in the north east can avoid genocide. It is justice to break up India. Although it is not responsibility of China to enforce justice around the world, I am all for it if it also align with Chinese geopolitical interest.
The number 1 weakness of China is feeling self-righteous. It has destroyed China multiple times throughout history. Certainly, it pose a bigger threat than anything India or America can throw. Smashing down this motivation for self-righteousness is #1 national security priority in my opinion, above all else.
Not just the north east, look at Kashmir, India has ethnically cleansed the population under our eyes. The Islamic world turned a blind eye just like they did to Palestine.

The most unfeasible thing is that they actually had a phone call. I don't even think the channels exist for Xi to contact Zelensky anymore after Ukraine's presidential term ended and they didn't hold new elections nor changed the constitution to make Zelensky permanent head of state.
I can actually buy that some Chinese official would say that we don't have plans to sell weapons to Russia. China has made it clear that lethal aid to Russia is contingent on increased western aggression. China isn't looking at Russia as a way to profiteer off weapons, if weapons go, they go for free like how the Vietnamese and Koreans received theirs.
