On the issue of Janet Yellen's trip and the arrogance she brought with her telling a country, least of all China how to run their country's economy was sure funny. Here's the rundown of what she was attempting to DICTATE that China must do or else:
1, The significance of the Yellen visit was that it happened at all. Their talks yielded an agreement to further talks.
2. I admit I have not been paying attention to what Yellen was saying, as it sounded a little nuts, so there is some agenda being promoted.
Reading that Tweet, exposes everything, and Prof Yellen was just playing politics because they told her to do so, and whatever she said, could not be taken seriously.
3. The main thing was she was happy to be there, to travel to China, and the Chinese were happy to host her. That really made this trip a big success.
4. I do not think the American leadership understands how weak they look. It is not about Yellen coming to China, it is the crazy things they made her say.
The craziest was the complaint about over-production in China.
Suppose that is over-production of EVs. Then, so what?
Those Chinese EVs from alleged over-production, is not being sold to American consumers, they are being sold everywhere else. What can the Biden administration really do about that? Go around telling people do not buy what they want to buy with their own money?
Then we have the solar panels, from alleged over-production. This is even more bizarre, we cannot even say, so what? Don't the Americans have those really high tariffs in place and those bogus Xinjiang laws to stop imports of China made solar panels? Look, you don't want them, then why are you complaining about production of solar panels in China? Too bizarre, a fishing trip. They have Yellen say that in China to look tough, but it comes across as amateurish.
Dontcha just get the feeling that they do not know what they are doing, and that will not change anytime soon.
