Impressive that Biden is willing to throw everything and the kitchen sink at Ukraine and Israel while seemingly not caring one bit about all these liabilities building up rapidly as we speak. It’s hard to determine when the system will eventually crash but given how ridiculous things are heading now, it won’t be long until the inevitable finally happens. One must wonder what kind of shock Biden and this team will be under when everything finally falls apart on his watch and there is nothing he can do to save the nation. Really, it’s almost like a loony toon cartoon only much less funny
Personally, I think the American leaders are already aware that the country will be gone in a few years, so let's loot what's left of it quickly for our own benefit. I have not seen any major player in the US put forward a solid plan to reverse these issues, possibly because they know it impossible.

Add salt to the wound: it is corporations running the country for past several decades. They could care less about the citizens. The future of the citizens is compressed into a note and deposited into the pocket of oligarchs.

My estimate is 2033 - 2035 constipated shit will really hit the fan super hard.

That could honestly explain the number of dystopian movies making its rounds in Hollywood in the last decade, latest of them being Civil War (out in a few days). Considering the sheer lack of abandon the government seems to be going through nowadays, it’s like they are prepping the nation for such an occurrence while they try to make a break for it and scarily enough, they really have no plans on how to address this issue, even from during the time of Obama or ever earlier (some president he is)

I mean the thing that has occurred to me, is if these elites escape to some mansion or safe haven over seas while the USA figuratively and literally burns itself to the ground (taking out most of its armed forces and civilian base in the process given how they are telegraphing all this via their own media right now), what is going to stop the majority of the world who are likely to despises these elites from tracking these fools one by one, try them for crimes against humanity and seize all of there ill gotten wealth with no one to defend them.

Well he know he can't win this election and Trump will get the blame so why not make it worse for him.
Ultimately a childish action of a toddler who has never learnt discipline

I mean they can’t pay them US dollars because that will be worthless by then
And most of them had become Preppers with Mark Zuckerburg buying an Island.;)

China potentially can offer a better and more diversified (if only because China is vastly larger) experience than Japan with more moderate prices which is important for lower to middle income economies like in ASEAN but right now it is "harder" to travel compared to Japan. There're primarily three reasons:
1) You need to have a good VPN (which can still fail from time to time) or an expensive roaming plan to access popular apps like Instagram, YouTube, etc. This already creates a layer of complexity for non-tech savvy people.
2) A lot of Chinese apps are Mandarin-only and for some of them you really don't have a global alternative - e.g. Google Maps and open source map apps are simply too outdated compared to Baidu/Amap, the only viable English-friendly alternative is Apple Maps (cuz it uses GaoDe/Amap data) which is iOS only. This makes navigation inside cities more complicated because you either have to stumble around using outdated maps or constantly take screenshots and check with a translator app to understand Baidu/GaoDe. Even when the app has English interface, like WeChat, most of the times you still cannot simply create an account and bind your number - you have to get verified by an existing user to activate your account and get access to all functions or get a proper Mainland China number (tourist SIM cards sold at airports are often re-cycled so you can run into a problem of your phone number already being registered).
3) Even in hotels under international chains there is a lack of English-speaking personnel, especially when you move away from Tier 1 cities. But honestly, Japan is not doing much better on that front.

Other important aspects like safety are already covered in China.
Very good points. These are some of the teething issues that makes China somewhat less attractive for the casual tourists in ASEAN. I think they are improving on these things, I just don't know how much better it is these days. Also, up until only last year, China did not have a VISA-free travel agreements with many ASEAN nations. But Japan already has such agreements with many ASEAN nations for many years. So that is definitely a big advantage for Japan's appeal in ASEAN. China is still catching up on that front.

I still think the biggest reason why China is still not top travel destination for ASEAN is marketing. For example, Japan and Taiwan have been very aggressive in their marketing. Whether on TV, in cultural festivals, or simply lobbying the local tour agencies. They were able to do aggressive and sustained marketing over a long period. So many people subconsciously think about Japan and Taiwan when they plan their holidays. They would instantly think about the Torrii gate, Shinkansen, and Sakura. For Taiwan they would instantly think about Taipei 101 and the F&B. China can offer infinitely better travel experiences than just one Taiwan province, but Taiwan had the better marketing.

Yes, China has iconic landmarks like the Great Wall, Forbidden City, and the Shanghai skyline. But their marketing campaign is not as aggressive, nor as sustained as Japan and Taiwan. One possible reason is that unlike those two, who constantly market their same old iconic attractions, China is so big, and constantly evolving, that it couldn't just market the same old attractions all the time. Years back, places like Chongqing, Zhangjiajie, Tianmen Mountain, Harbin, or Xinjiang were not yet iconic destinations. I think the time is ripe for China to step up their marketing campaign. Just be more aggressive, sustained, and patient, eventually more people in ASEAN will subconsciously think about China when they plan their holidays.

It's because the Anglos don't really see countries as nation states, but tribes; perhaps because their ruling class are Anglo Zionists but also because of a worldview that places anglo caucasians at the top ie the Five Eyes, and lesser non english speaking whites below them eg Romanians, Armenians.

It's why they consider a person from taiwan as being PRC; even a singaporean TikTok CEO is considered PRC because they Anglos don't see nation states, they see tribes and peoples as bloodlines.

Tiktok should hire an Indian from India as their next ceo candidate.

Psychopaths don't think of these concepts. They may find safety among overseas partners or simply go off the radar, just as many prominent German Nazis did in South America.

Perhaps a new set of states/countries will appear in US. Current elites also possess lot of hard capital assets (like property) which can be of value in future states (assuming they manage to hold on to them). Maybe they will become the new elites of the new states.

U.S. seeks to 'integrate' Japan into defense industrial base

At summit, leaders to discuss co-development and co-production of munitions and platforms
WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida are expected to agree to bolster defense industrial cooperation at their summit here on April 10, a U.S. government source told Nikkei Asia.
The cooperation will not be limited to repairing U.S. naval ships at Japanese private shipyards but will also envision the co-development and co-production of munitions, planes and ships in the future.
The leaders are set to launch a coordinating body to discuss how to implement the vision.
The U.S. sees huge potential to "integrate" Japan into America's defense industrial base, the official said.
Should had be done long time ago. Dunno why the Core left its puppets with their capabilities not integrated/absorbed into its own.

The idea is to tap allied manufacturing capabilities, starting with Japan, where the largest overseas contingent of U.S. forces is based.
Note the word "starting". About time, the American Empire came out of the shadows and slowly announced its establishment as a proper Empire. Had gotten very boring having to talk about all these puppets like they were proper independent countries
"We see Japan as an underutilized resource," the official said. "Japan's manufacturing as a percentage of GDP [gross domestic product] is twice what the United States' is. Japan has a very impressive industrial base, but it's underweighted on the defense side."
The use of Japan's defense industrial base will begin with ship repairs. At their summit, Biden and Kishida are expected to formalize the process of performing maintenance, repairs and overhauls on U.S. Navy warships at Japanese private shipyards.

The British invented modern torture in their brutal, asymmetric wars against nationalist rebellions and attempted revolutions throughout the Global South. Although all Western colonizers regularly commit unthinkable atrocities against those weaker than them, even today. A history:
