It is only the Anglos and those who follow and subscribe to an Anglo white supremacist western chauvinist world order who oppose China's rise.
LMAO. Does he know that Xi Jinping is having a good time with CEOs from his overlord - the US right now? BTW, such meeting really triggered some furious coping from a certain diplomat to Japan.

As Nury said, it's always the 5-Eyes.

Yup, it's just projection. Just check out ECHELON.

So about that boat that crashed into a bridge in Baltimore. Turns out the crew were all Indian.

Remember the suez getting blocked. Also by mainly Indian crew.

India just cannot help itself but get bad PR every time when you don't even call for it.
The fact that China hasn't been blamed so far gives me the hope that the construction of the ship has nothing to do with Chinese shipbuilders.

The point is that unlike Germany in the late 1930s, China's development has not peaked and will not peak anytime soon, and Chinese people and China's policymakers are well cognizant of this fact.

Netflix's adaptation of Three Body Problem: the bad part (culture revolution) remains, while the good parts are "Westernized".

Granted this is 2022, but not that much changed

#2 city in North America is Mississauga.
It's just a suburb of Toronto. How the heck does a city like that make such a list? Basically there are a lot of Indian immigrants living 5 families to a house all driving for Uber in their spare time and working full time (This is not to sound racist of denigrating, rather just knowing the true cost of life). There are no detached (freestanding) homes under 1 million CAD in the city. That is also the majority of the housing supply there.

Salaries are garbage in Toronto.
I've lived in several cities and Mississauga is by far probably the best. Maybe Markham and Richmond Hill are better. The standard of living is much better than the rest, or atleast it was until 5-6 years when burglaries shot up to insane levels. Don't know how it compares to other international cities, probably worse. The population is quite diverse. Lot of Chinese live in Mississauga, as well as lot of Vietnamese, Portuguese, Colombians, Pakistani, Iraqi, Palestinians, Indian, Afghans, Sri Lankan, Polish, Filipinos, Guyanese and Trini, African-Americans, Jamaicans, Somali, Italians.. the diversity living in harmony is probably how it got to #2. Housing costs were also pretty normal until ~2017.
It is basically impossible without controlling the border and every movement in and out of Pakistan. Something they have failed to do since like ever.
That border is impossible to control. One major reason is because the major ethnic group that lives on both sides of the border - the Pashtun - do not recognize the border at all. Lot of these folk who are tribal see both lands as part of Pashtun history, even though they are well-assimilated into each country's society.

Another reason is the terrain is too difficult to monitor. Let's not forget that NATO itself with it's trillion dollars at hand with the best equipment in the world failed to secure this border for 20 years and would constantly blame Pakistan for the failure despite the latter having a military budget and economy worth not even 5% of NATO.
Pakistan is a lost cause. Sunk cost fallacy and all that. Nevermind monetary, the opportunity costs that China has incurred have been massive

Might as well as throw money to the Argentinian economic black hole
Even I don't know fully why China interests itself so much in Pakistan. Maybe it is to pacify India?

Pakistani leaders have always been corrupt and puppets of the US, even though they understand fully well the importance of China and how much China has valued them, and how much the US has blackmailed them.

I think the problem is that US has a strong diplomatic and economic hold on Pakistan, interfering in the politics, deep influence into the country's education system and media. China doesn't seem to be interested in these endeavors. US provides opportunities for the corrupt, China doesn't. When a Pakistani leader comes into office, his primary concern is how to stay in power - the US helps here with "aid" which is just a lump sum eaten by the leaders to secure their position. As a Pakistani, I don't see this arrangement changing or being challenged.
Other than that. The trade route through Pakistan helps China bypass turbulent South China Sea for trade and cuts the trade route by a huge amount saving costs.
That trade route hasn't bore any significant fruit for either countries. The Gwadar Port was envisaged in the 1960s and has been operational now for over two decades but hardly any benefit.

Interesting video of the ship bridge collision
Serious questions to my engineering colleagues. Why aren't the pillars overengineered to withstand collision or have pillar protection? We are talking about one of the busiest ports in US east coast, and this was built in the 1972, which I assume uses relatively modern construction techniques. This isn't like a WW1 or WW2 era bridge...

Modern pillars have protection walls that will prevent the ship hitting them and guide the ship away. The cost was only 3 million, guess who didn't want to spend 3 million.

Pakistani 'leader' is 'brought' into power, so tons of aid that would otherwise be cut to a non-democratic state remains active. The whole charade of democracy is kept up for sake of optics, aid and access for the real power in the country. It just adds a layer of inefficiency to the already incompetent system.

Those who are supposed to counter the terrorists are busy spying on politicians, judges, kidnapping, threatening, engineering the elections etc, everything, not in their JDs. This is not a civilian issue. The civil govt is just a 'placeholder' and does or does not do what it is told, otherwise it is cast aside. Security and foriegn policy has never been the domain of the civilian side or those highly trained and educated in the field, but is rather controlled by those who have not studied beyond Grade 12.

When properly prioritized, the relevant forces are more than capable enough to counter the menace as it was done during Zarb-e-Azb. Unfortunately it took killing of 100s of children to trigger it. All sides, west or not, provide aid and support with the goal of maximising their own national interests, that is the norm, it's upto the party recieving the aid to maximize it's national interest from it.
