Vivo, Oppo say bye to Chinese 'agents,' bring in Indian ones

India is probably the second most hostile country to Chinese business.
I would rank it as the #1 most hostile. India had put blanket bans on practically all Chinese Apps. India had already banned Tiktok after Galwan. It's been ahead of the US and the West in that regard. Aside from that, India had arbitrarily arrested board members, and robbed hundreds of millions from Chinese companies. It's something that would have resulted in lengthy court battles in the West where the defendant could still win.

The fact that Oppo and Xiaomi are still able to operate in India even while under this hostile climate is testament to their competitiveness in the medium to low-end smartphone market. There are just no serious alternatives in the West and India.

Maybe India doesn't like people causing trouble, but i can appreciate this for whatever the reason they decided to shut it down

Yeah, it looks likely that the Indian police were just doing their jobs. That Free Tibet protest most likely didn't have a permit. I think this is more of a matter of law and order rather than any goodwill to China.

Unrelated but.. India once suspected China of electronically hacking an IAF Su-30 and causing it to crash with neither pilots able to eject.

Smells like Indian bull****, what kind of ejection seat uses computer (and networked computer at that) input instead of manual mechanical operation? I mean, ejection seats need to be able to fire when all power is lost after a missile or other event makes the aircraft uncontrollable.
