Europe has some of the oldest continuous universities. without that system they would not be able to exploit natural resources in other places. you can blame the universities nothing else.

where Noah is not correct about Ukraine. there is element of resource and this can become the main reason later on depending on latest scientific methods of resource development and estimation.

This is UK Minister of State Lee Rowley responding to the fact that an IDF sniper killed a Christian mother and her daughter IN A CHURCH in Gaza. An act the Pope himself called "terrorism" and that Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the most senior Catholic cleric in England, characterized as a “cold–blooded killing”.

Minister Rowley's response? This is Israel "trying to defend itself" and the "only way to end the situation in Gaza is Hamas laying down their weapons and stop using their population as human shields".

In other words to him this isn't even the IDF's responsibility, murdering women and their daughters in churches is just par for the course until the other side surrenders...

Which is something you could maybe imagine the most evil terrorist organizations saying - "we'll murder your wifes and daughters in your places of worship until you surrender, your deaths are on you!" - but now we have UK ministers essentially saying this stuff, which is absolutely insane!

Global South problems are there own making. i dont think former imperialist are micro managing them to become failures.
I will even say that tremendous wealth that has been accumulated in Mideast have much more influence on global south failure. This wealth gave them to over invest in Global Aviation for connections and buy off the global south.

but my response was about the fact that Central/East and Nordic part of Europe not much behind the imperialists of Western Europe in scientific capacity. they even out perform. Sweden built the earliest AESA AWACS both GaAs and GaN. thats why UAE bought it. when you get Thales IFE in Civil Airliner you get this software. these former imperialists have no ability to do anything by itself when engineering complexity is involved.

Chinese and Vietnamese coast guards held a high-level working meeting in Dec 4-8. Vietnamese Coast Guard vessel 8002 visited Guangzhou. It's one of their more modern vessels. Hopefully this thaw between China and Vietnam can last, and developed further.

Obviously, this inconvenient truth will never be reported by the anti-China media.
