Notice how this is yet another textile factory. The US is painting Xinjiang cotton in a bad light, so that people don't buy Chinese cotton. And guess who is the 2nd largest exporter of cotton in the world after China? That is right the US.
This is just the US farming lobby speaking again. The same people responsible for idiotic policies like corn ethanol.

Its just a dumb way to keep corn prices up. Very dumb and inefficient way of using farmland overall.
