Another article on the same story.

A couple of interesting points, that were pointed out in this article.

This Huawei AI weather model, is a different way of doing it, departing from the mainstream method, which is like what they call innovation by the Americans. And this Huawei model was 10,000 faster than the current top of the line weather forecasting model, the one in Europe the ECMWF thingy.

Lastly, I looked up the graphics card Huawei used for the AI weather forecasting model, and it was a NVIDIA card and it is at least 5 years old.

:p

Now ... let's start to think out side of the black box ... if they use old NVIDIA graphics cards to play games ... and to do AI ... they can actually predict the weather ... finding and targeting a US carrier group with AI would be shooting fish in a barrel ...

It's possible that those who study journalism in China are overwhelmingly female to begin with, and there are too many of them, so they have to find opportunities overseas. They are smart enough to find out what kind of reports will give them bigger income and quicker promotion soon enough.

To sniff out transgender guys? It's totally normal to check for inguinal hernia. But palpating the balls?

Some real purposes of Yellen's visit to China:

China has had rapid development, including in the NEV and renewable energy industries, and has become leaders in these sectors in the world, because they don't believe the neoliberal BS.

Begging with American characteristics then.

How dare you do better than me?! You must give me all your hard earned cash and stop doing so fucking well, because it’s making me look and feel bad! Do it now before I sue you for emotionally damaging me!

Truly spoken from a lofty position of strength.

I think Xi keeps inviting them as motivational team building exercises for Chinese top leaders, because he has observed that personal exposure to American shitfuckery supercharges motivation, productivity and determination in Chinese officials who experience it first hand.

Anecdotal but based on my own family and friends, we're all highly motivated by spite. Is this a Chinese thing? Can other forum members confirm?

sad. They need to train teachers on how to gang up on the assailant in these situations. It’s one guy with a knife But manage to kill 2 parents and one teacher.
I don't really know how stuff like this can be prevented. Like in America all the discussion when mass killings happen is about the guns, but as crazy as the right wingers are they do have a point in that if mentally ill people with a grudge against society didn't have guns they'll just find other means to commit terror.

For both China and America the problem at this point is societal where for many mentally ill sickos causing mass casualties is the default outlet for their anger, rather than actually seeking help. Even in a country where social media is as heavily regulated as China, you can't realistically put a warning flag on everybody whose posting history suggests they're a risk to the public and one can even argue its because of that regulation mentally ill people are more likely to keep to themselves until they snap.

Its just a shitty reality all around.

Another attempt to justify and legitimate Americans' failure to prevent gun violence and mass shootings by linking a few instance of mass killings in China.

It's simply pathetic to compare the US and China when mass shootings in the US are happening in the daily basis but these senseless crime is rare in China.

Even EU nations don't have that many senseless mass shootings or killings. It is a unique Americans problem that all other first world nations don't have.

It is just so sick to see how you normalize a complete failure of the American government to protect its citizens because they are so corrupt and being so political about anything.
