The white saviour Christian fundamentalist who wants to wrap all Chinese in her aryan blonde hair bemoans the fact that military engagements were not discussed so American commanders won’t know how far they can push things in the SCS before accidentally triggering a war.
China let him to come all this way just to say FU face to face? What a troll move…

More like a lecture really -

Still, words are unsurprisingly wasted on the likes of him when this is what came out of scoring the highest level of reception from China -

"[...] the PRC's provocative actions in the Taiwan Strait [...]"

"[...] China's unfair treatment of US companies [...] including recent punitive actions against US firms [...]"

"[...] we'll continue to take targeted actions [...]"

"[...] the United States and the international community remain deeply concerned about PRC human rights violations, including in Xinjiang, Tibet and Hong Kong [...]"

This one though takes the cake for me -

"[...] the United States has a long history of successfully managing complicated, consequential relationships through diplomacy [...]"

All that hoopla basically came down to this -

Looks like Xi took a page out of Putin's book and started changing seating protocols. Blinken got a long desk treatment, even fatty Pompeo got a close seat to Xi, this reflects China's statement that China-US diplomatic relations are at its worst since the start.

I have not seen a single new thing mentioned by Blinken in either his transcripts or briefing. Either he gave no concessions or it was not mentioned.

In order to safeguard Chinese foreign investments, China needs to develop and maintain the expeditionary hard military power needed to come to the homes of the Europeans and take what they stole back.
Rather than going to them militarily to collect, it would be easier to take back the same or more in penalties from the west, since the west has more stakes inside China than the other way around.
I actually wouldn't mind Beijing deploying the PLA to pay a visit to the British Museum to do some "reposession work" of the historical items that were lost to the imperialists 100+ years ago.

It didn’t take much work for him to get a meeting with Xi.
How would you know that? I don't know what he had to do so I can't assume either way but how would you assert in any way, let alone with the type of certaintly implied by your sentence?
China still wants to work with America.
Doubt that. What could they work towards? China overtaking the US or the US staying the dominant world power? Neither have interests supporting the other's goal and there are no other goals worth working towards.
I doubt America will grant any meaningful confessions.
There's probably nothing meaningful Blinken can give, honestly, probably just lip service. He can't offer tech transfers or scrapping the Taiwan Relations Act; and even if he makes promises, we all know that American promises are often anal flatulence mistaken to be human speech. The best he can do is talk like a butler and flatter someone/embarrass himself. That said, I doubt China would let him meet with Xi, even sitting in a Putin-style long table, for nothing.
Before every planned Blinken visit there was some type of drama (spy ballon, announcement of sanctions, spying from Cuba). It’s all designed to throw China off.
Child's tricks. If China wanted to embarass the US for fun, they'd let these American clown go all around the media talking about how they finally got Blinken a China trip or a Xi meeting, then cancel it unilaterally, at the last minute, and by public Chinese media announcement before the US media can react. But China is an adult and has no desire to play a child's games.

Schoolchildren are being taught about anal sex and orgasms before they have reached puberty and set 'masturbation' as homework, secretive lesson plans reveal.

Many teachers are 'indoctrinating' children with scientifically false claims about biological sex, presenting

MailOnline has found graphic teaching material — including a sex manual for pre-teens — being taught to children in classes around the UK.

It follows a concerned mother being denied the right to see the content of the lessons being taught to her 15-year-old daughter in her Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) classes, which became compulsory three years ago.

Despite a judge refusing Clare Page the right to see the material, MailOnline can reveal that a wealth of questionable teaching resources are already available online.

Colouring books, word searches and cartoon drawings have also been given to young girls and boys by 'activist teachers' in their 'overarching mission to sexualise children in the name of inclusion'.

Since September 2020, Relationships Education has been compulsory in primary schools and RSE mandatory in secondary schools. The change left many teaching staff seeking guidance.

The void was filled by charities — some harbouring unconventional views on biological sex and sharing material on their websites that references underage sex.

MailOnline can reveal that some children are:

  • Taught that from birth until the age of one, babies can 'experience pleasurable sensations' by touching their genitals
  • Given ways for 12-year-old girls to orgasm while masturbating, including pinching or stroking the clitoris
  • Given 'masturbation' homework from a pre-compulsory RSE resource
  • Told that girls as young as 12 can find sexual pleasure from anal, vaginal and oral sex
  • Taught that it's normal to want to masturbate during and even before they hit puberty
  • Informed that it's normal for prepubescent children to be sexually attracted to anyone
  • Told that gender is different from sex but is a much more intrinsic part of who a person is
  • Taught that people can change their sex from being a man to being a woman
  • Also taught that some 'non-binary' humans are neither men nor women
  • Taught that men with the male Y chromosome can actually be women

Many teachers are 'indoctrinating' children with scientifically false claims about biological sex, presenting gender as fluid and furthering the 'trans' narrative that people can be born in the wrong body. An 'award-winning' teaching pack for children as young as nine who have learning disabilities created before RSE was made mandatory was similarly graphic. One of the lesson plans suggested teachers 'show the group pictures of male and female masturbation' and 'simulate anatomically correct dolls masturbating'

I don't know anything about sociology but is admitting in a million people, who are culturally very distinct from both the existing populace and a good chunk of other immigrants, every year to a country of 37 million a good idea?
The Roman Empire had that idea. They even invited Germans to become foederati, vassals of Rome and equipped with Roman weapons.

So did the Jin Empire in China.

Tang Empire put culturally distinct foreigners in charge of a large portion of its military too.

Clearly nothing bad happened, never has and never will.

Usually things happen behind closed doors for weeks to prep for a meeting of this caliber. So we don't have full knowledge of what went on behind the scenes. Also, any change is likely incremental and slow, very rarely is there fundamental massive change short of war.
I doubt America will grant any meaningful confessions.
They literally said before the trip that there will not be any huge breakthroughs. The key is what was NOT SAID in public is the most impactful, since most of the public statements are regurgitations of what's been said for the past few decades (i.e., human rights, Taiwan, SCS, rule of law, blah blah), but the devil is in the details, vast majority of which is not public.

I think it is also just positive to have these meetings regardless of regurgitated talking points. Not having any method of communication is silly, and while things are frosty between the US and China now, it doesn't mean persistent and continued attempts at breaking the impasse cannot bear fruit in the future.
