What's the big deal anyway? Must China patronize Hollywood movies that are popular in their home turf to avoid being labeled as uncouth and or racist? I don't see the same treatment for any movies that comes out of China getting the same treatment. In fact, it's the polar opposite. These stupid western countries want to spit, punch, heckle, call China names while at the same time expect China to be amenable to their demands, kowtow to their racist opinions, accept their cultural beliefs and adopt hedonistic lifestyle. Holy moly, what a fascistic thinking group of people.
Little mermaid is literally a movie glorifying slavery. It's just the same White/American/Eurocentric lens that the news is projected through.
In the West, the success of the Little Mermaid has an element of payback. It goes to show that the history can be transcended.
Well, China didn't enslave black people for the colour of their skin, nor did they create colonies and subjugate the people on their lands, so Chinese people don't carry this baggage.
Something this war has really driven home for me is how so many retired cold warriors who are treated in msm as "experts" are really just loony hawks who are completely off it even relative to contemporary DC thinking. I wouldn't take his warning seriously.
I can't agree more. Bad takes coming from ex-military personnel have been humongous in proportion.Something this war has really driven home for me is how so many retired cold warriors who are treated in msm as "experts" are really just loony hawks who are completely off it even relative to contemporary DC thinking. I wouldn't take his warning seriously.
WASHINGTON, June 8 (Reuters) - China has reached a secret deal with Cuba to establish an electronic eavesdropping facility on the island roughly 100 miles (160 km) from Florida, the Wall Street Journal said on Thursday, but the White House and Pentagon cast doubt on the report.
“We have seen the report. It's not accurate," John Kirby, spokesperson for the White House National Security Council, told Reuters. But he did not specify what he thought was incorrect.
