Why should they not take any intel they can get?

Chinese panels would assess the info and determine what is useful and what isn't.

I strongly doubt the cost of hiring some disgruntled ex servicemen to provide their feedback is a signficant economical challenge for the world's largest economy lol

Since its effectively free, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Not about the money at all. If you can buy expertise and solve the problem, then it’s not a problem.

But this is similar to when Ex-RAF pilots were hired to train Chinese pilots. During the entirety of that program, UK maintained constant contacts with these pilots. What do you think their regular debriefs were about. Sure werent mabout Chinese cuisine or sightseeing.

The Republic of Korea Air Force (South Korea) has announced that earlier this morning it had Detected and Tracked at least 4 Chinese and 4 Russian Military Aircraft that had entered the Korean Air-Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) over the Sea of Japan and the South China Sea causing the “Scramble” of F-15 and F-16 Fighter Jets who Intercepted and Escorted the Aircraft until they Exited the Zone; the Korean Ministry of National Defense stated that the Aircraft did not enter South Korean Airspace during the Interception.

Please elaborate more...I am giddy with excitement to hear this "cold war" shtick you're talking about.

Yes, America, your America is hard at work to bring about and realize this cold war hoping and wishing for China to kick start/jump start the whole propaganda. I mean, can't blame you since most of the news, reports you consume are all. ONE SIDED and ENTIRELY from WESTERN LENS and SOURCES so of course you'd be inclined to think so. Just as you persistently thought China was wrong in their handling of Covid-19, vaccines, lockdown, and host of other issues.

And you think that the PLA doesn't know about that and the risks involved in hiring foreign ex-pilots?

They were not there to train Chinese pilots on how to fly Chinese planes. Well, unless you think a white pilot can look at a Chinese plane that they've never seen from the inside in their entire lives and know how the plane is flown better than the designers and test pilots.

They were there to train Chinese pilots on how NATO planes are flown.

Blinken just wants to talk so badly that the State department keeps leaking to the press that there would be a meeting soon. From China's perspective, any meeting is a complete waste of time. In addition, China would get another sanction from the US after the talk. However, China also needs to appear to be willing to engage so a talk is still possible. Just that China would try to delay and postpone any talk as long as possible.

Just like last time, I wouldn't count on it happening until he actually lands in China, or the Chinese foreign ministry confirms it.

US doesn't want to accept some prerequisite before the meeting. But China demands some prerequisite before setting up a meeting. if the US were desperate, it might just make some promise. However, I am doubtful any promises or agreements emerge from any meeting would be fulfilled.

I like to say to people half jokingly
Muslims blew up the Twin Towers and basically shattered the American psyche. You can't even bring a full size toothpaste on the plane anymore, but you think that China can keep that sh*t bottled up in Xinjiang? They will always bring it on if they wanted to, ask America, ask Israel. If they aren't, then you know it isn't that bad.
