It is not Republicans but much wider segment of business interests. Musk is empty shell did not learn anything how to be independent. Tesla in US will not survive for a day without Japanese and Koreans. and later two countries have alot of investments in North American continent interms of supply chain and some of them a really important like Boeing Civil aviation. than you add Indians who had the highest per capita most probably due to alot of Indian doctors spread around most of states. The point is alot of countries are benefiting from it.

Lol no, or more like the Yuan amount converted to US Dollars is just about those 230 billions.
And yes, I know there's lots of stuff that's not counted in those 230 billions (US 'true' military budget isn't just some 800 billions either), but even then.

It‘s just that procurement and a lot of others things are substantially cheaper for China when compared with the US, which you can kind of say makes the budget a couple times bigger and therefore, in dollars, about same as the US budget.

To be honest, I buy it. The level of Chinese military R&D and procurement is laughably understated by the consensus USD figure. That's not because the Chinese government is lying about what it's spending, but because the Chinese system is so much more efficient than the American one, and the Chinese economy is so much more industrially capable, that if we were to convert the economic activity to wasteful and profligate American terms it would come out to something like $700 billion.

Interesting that this happens when Shangri La Dialogue is on. I wonder if the transit would have happened if Li had agreed a meeting with Austin:

Pretty easy to understand why right. It’s a simple pressure tactic from China.

-America wants to talk peace, but advance its strategy of containment simultaneously.

-China says talk is cheap. Remove the sanctions first and talk as equals.

-America says you wish.

-China conducts “aggressive” maneuvers near U.S. navy and spy planes.

-America says omg they refusing to sit down, and our planes almost collided. Yea, let’s remove the sanctions, treat China as an equal partner, and have a good heart to heart.
Bet 5 bucks that’s what happens.

Looks like the Chinese are just getting more for their money. With the exception of overseas sales and exports the profit motive of a company without shareholders like Norinco is not as strong as like Raytheon for example so they have less incentive to overcharge for the stuff they made, in fact, they have to be price competitive because they still have to compete with other Chinese companies for contracts.
Also it looks like accountability for projects is lacking, projects do not get cancelled and companies get rewarded even if the project fails. China is not perfect in this area either but the looks like the pentagon is becoming progressively worse and worse in this area with time. So Even adjusting to GDP PPP is not as near as 700 billion, this is just copium for not to admit that there is an spending problem.

Germany's far-right AfD sees poll numbers surging

Polls see Germany's center-left coalition government in free fall while the far-right populist AfD is reaping the benefits. It currently polls on par with Chancellor Olaf Scholz's Social Democrats.

Never before have voters in Germany been this unhappy with the current coalition government: Only one in five says they are doing a good job. The center-left

I'm not saying that the AfD is anything like the Nazis, but looking at economic recession in Germany/Europe + mass rearmament & conscription, there is a good chance the upcoming world war will start in Europe instead of East Asia

4) Same feudal society

5) Emotionally Religious (very prone to hysteria)

6) slave like attitude

7) over population

8) a large community in the collective west

9) Geography, instead of a mountain we have a sea.;)
