UK wanted to get rid of migrant workers because "they were taking people's jobs". So now they have no one to pick crops or drive transport vehicles. Food rotted in the fields, and products did not reach supermarket shelves due to lack of transport. UK citizens are not taking those jobs en masse because of low wages. As a result UK farmers have been reducing planted area (why waste money planting produce you cannot pick later). In addition, extra red tape in importation of produce due to Brexit means the UK cannot import food on time either.

I sense some Western MSM are getting tired of the US rhetorics. The above is from a local NZ news site, in the past it would refer the US plane as a surveillance plane instead of a spy plane. Reading the article it's void of sensational phrases like endangering the crew or violating international norms, etc. Instead, it's mostly quoting from a US statement, but crucially adding the term "spy plane" to accompany the quotes.

Go bitch about it... go cry about it...

The raw materials for the medicine, in most cases, come from China in the first place.
As for aeroplanes, I expect China not to need any substantial imports of them in 5 years.
Car imports could likely be completely cut right now.

If the West sanctions these exports, they will only be further reducing their own global relevance.

It's not because of migrant workers. They are still coming in, just from Albania and the Ukraine instead of Poland. That's just an excuse so the establishment can blame Brexit.

It's mainly to do with the sanctions, fuel and fertilisers became a lot more expensive, even more so with the depreciation of the pound making imports expensive. Farmers couldn't even afford to pay minimum wage so are prepared to downscale production. Agriculture in western Europe is a fiscal burden overall, so governments are trying to shut them down to reduce budget deficits.

Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment: Thanks to US export controls, China is becoming steadily more independent in that area with probably between 30%-50% of the tools already sourced domestically depending on the process and is growing. SKorea dependency is like 80%.

Cars???: China car production is around 2,500,000 cars per year and imported 1,000,000 per year so that 97% makes no sense.

Medicine??: Then why every single pundit idiot complains about the dependency on China in that area? If that is the case the Chinese are the ones that should complain.

Airplanes: The only one that makes sense.
