The largest market for Mercedes and BMW is in China. You just have to get used to it. They produce the largest number of cars in China.
Funny that... a few weeks ago I argued in a local news comment section with someone who said they would not buy a Chinese made car because the workers would be earning a paltry wage (a dollar a day) and working in shocking and unsafe factories... I replied saying what a rubbish and outdated assertion.

she is target of Chinese interference

Kwan, born in Hong Kong, said she could not provide details about what form the attempted influence took, citing “national security reasons.”
Kwan, a parliament member from Vancouver, said that she believes she is being targeted because of her advocacy for Hong Kong's independence.

Another hanjian who can be ignored.

Chinese FM meets Tesla CEO Elon Musk

Top Wumao Ma Elon is cashing in his Xi bucks.
Decoupling from China is impossible at this point, despite the realization and admission by America's bureaucrats such as Jake Sullivan that the post-cold war neoliberalism has failed. The reason is that the ones that wielding real economic and political powers in the US, the 0.1% oligarch such as Elon Musk, have benefited so much from the neoliberal globalism, they simple don't want change it.

New Atlas

This is why US soft power is so insidious... It has neoliberalism, race baiting, white worship, and internalized racism subtly embedded in its premise and themes. Then it markets itself to impressionable young children. The parents and government censors are not perceptive enough to pick up on it and protect their vulnerable demographics. This film was even shown in China, it makes me want to retch.

This is so pathetic ... if you gonna fight China you better be ready to face hell, not whine at the first few moves China makes.

So a week after the government says it’s not really a problem (the CCP “targeting” Canadian parliament members), we have every one coming out the woodwork to say the CCP is spying on them. Even the loser of the last election whose career is effectively over. When you have a million Uighurs to keep an eye on, how can you still have time to keep tabs on a literal loser?
