Remember Korematsu vs US has never been overturned, and thus the USG can decide to intern specific undesirables legally. As long as it is for national security, all such measures are legal.
oh yes i believe that the US government will have free rein in anything that it can declare as national security. the issue remains that this is not actually helping them but quite to the contrary.

It is always amusing when they compare Chinese total debt of federal, state, and private vs GDP to just US federal debt vs GDP in their feeble attempts to make Chinese debt seem larger than it is.
They totally do this all the time.

Edit: lol just did a search on Chinese public debt and I pretty much get articles back for months about local government debts. While looking back it's US regional banks that are imploding.

Rishi may be walking up on the chopping block sooner or later. Will Boris come back?

~2300 seats in control, ~1050 seats lost, ~40 councils lost.

Labour now largest party of local government and Conservatives lose over 1,000 seats - local election results in maps and charts

Labour is now the largest party of local government - overtaking the Conservatives for the first time since 2002.

The party achieved the milestone after picking up more than 500 seats by Friday evening.

By contrast, the Conservatives endured a torrid evening, losing more than 1,000 seats, meeting the worst possible pre-election expectations.

A documentary about the Chongryon community in Japan. These are basically a community of North Korean-aligned Japanese Koreans whose ancestors were brought to Japan during the Imperial Japanese colonial era. The host of the documentary is a typical Western judgmental idiot. But I have to give him some credit for actually documenting this obscure community in Japan.

The Chongryon community are very patriotic about North Korea. They have North Korean-style schools, activities, and even organize trips to North Korea. Predictably, they have been discriminated by the Japanese community. They are receiving pressure from the Japanese government to align to the Japanese education system or lose funding. The are receiving hate from the Japanese nationalists, and Japanese Koreans who are against North Korea. I don't know how the Japanese government have allowed the Chongryon to survive till today. This kind of community would not have survived in South Korea for sure. Maybe Japan is just complicated.

These Japanese Koreans rather align themselves to North Korea than South Korea. They proudly consider NK to be their homeland. Maybe its because their ancestries are actually from the North. Or maybe they know that SK is not actually the real Korea. I dunno, but there is a salty comment by a South Korean:
South Korean NK hater.jpg
LOL! As a South Korean, you must be so frustrated that Japanese Koreans, suffering discrimination in Japan, would rather choose North Korea as their homeland than your beloved South Korea. You must have conveniently forgot that South Koreans do discriminate against North Korean defectors. Sometimes, even worse than the Japanese. Maybe you don't realize that South Korea today actually looks more like the 51st state of the USA, rather than a Korean nation.

I have a simpler explanation. Well imagine if you're Japanese Korean facing discrimination in Japan. Who would you choose as your true Korean leader?

The Korean clown who sings 'American Pie' for the US president?
Yoon American Pie.jpg

Or the Korean who has nuclear missiles to threaten Japan and the USA?
Kim Jong Un in front of ICBM.jpg

Its quite an easy decision.

54 dead after ethnic clashes in India's remote northeast

The situation remained tense after a fresh bout of violence on Friday night, hours after the state's top police officer warned that rioters had stolen arms and ammunition from police stations.

Hospital morgues in the state capital Imphal and Churachandpur district further south had reported a combined total of 54 dead, according to local media.

Finally understand what 波士顿圆脸 was talking about regarding India's northeast region.

One thing that is not widely appreciated is that Iran ability to maintain Western Energy and Aviation systems.
so if at some point Europe unwilling or unable to maintain these for Arab world they should know who to call. It will be wiser for them to offer investment and high salaries for those working in Europa. Europe decline will benefit Middleast and Russia.
Iran is perhaps only country in that region that is Israel, Germany and Japan combined. that theoretical foundation of science, startup culture with ability to work in heavy industry and precision. There was North Caucasus investment form in Russia and Iranian ambassador was prominent. They want people in that region to learn from it. This whole Black Sea region will become tech corridor due to weather and geographical proximity to Middleast.

Negotiations between India and Russia on a rupee-ruble payment mechanism have stalled after a year of talks, anonymous officials from the Indian finance ministry have told

.

Russia reportedly does not want a surplus of rupees, which stands to reach the equivalent of over $40 billion this year, in its coffers, because of the growing trade imbalance between the two countries. However, an unnamed Russian official cited by Indian news agency

dismissed the claims, dubbing them “wishful thinking” by Western media.
Another reason for the reported suspension of talks is the tedious and expensive process of currency conversion. Since the rupee is not fully convertible, the double conversion charges can reach up to 3% of the total transaction value.
Ajay Sahai, director-general of the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), recently

the “operational issues” facing the rupee-ruble trade mechanism: There are concerns among Russian exporters about dealing with a glut of rupees. The exchange rate, too, has been another area of concern,” he added. Sahai urged an administrative exchange rate that could be derived for a limited and fixed time frame, for example 15 days, to save additional hedging costs, which Indian exporters are averse to.
All that big talk (especially in India) about Russia and India trading in Ruble and Rupees. What happened? Why the Russians don't want so many Rupees in their bank accounts? Its good old economic sense. There is a trade deficit between Russia and India. Russia is actually exporting much more stuff to India (oil, arms, etc) than the other way round. So Russia will eventually collect a surplus of Rupees. But what can the Russians buy with those Rupees? Only Indian exports, which Russia itself is not gonna buy in appreciable quantities to balance the trade deficit. Couple that with the volatility and cumbersome conversion process of the Rupee, its not looking like such a good idea afterall.

But why can the Russians so easily accept Yuan payments instead? Well, firstly because the Yuan can be used to buy stuff they need from China. And there is much more that the Russians want to buy from China than from India. Secondly, the Yuan can be used to buy energy from the Middle East. Good luck using Rupees to buy oil from them. Thirdly, China has the Shanghai Gold Exchange, if you want to convert your Yuan to Gold.

This is the difference between the Chinese and Indian economies. China has done the groundwork to enable the Yuan to be used in international trade. China has the industry which produces stuff that you need. Stuff that you can buy with the Yuan. While India thinks that its Rupee can do the same thing with big talk and boot-licking. Sorry, to become a leading force in the global economy, you need grown ups, not children.

In the meantime, Pakistan is likely to switch to Yuan to buy Russian oil.

Pakistan is likely to pay for shipments of crude oil from Russia in Chinese yuan, local media reported on Saturday, citing government sources. The first cargo of 750,000 barrels is expected to dock as soon as in June.

An unnamed official from the Ministry of Energy told The News International that the transaction would be facilitated by the Bank of China.
India still has a long way to go to rival China's diplomatic and economic clout.
