I also doubt it would amount of much, however if and it’s a big IF Europe is successful then it would mean US would likely be the biggest loser as they would no longer have full control of the sector... one of the last that they more or less still have major control over at the moment...

Trump’s decision to use semiconductors as a weapon really wasn’t a wise decision... even if say Europe is not successful on its own it still has the option of partnering up with China to provide a balance to the US so they won’t effectively be hostages... and since Germany want to take the driving sit in EU the likelihood of EU forging ahead regardless is quite high... tho I am not exactly completely optimistic about their chances... there are too many voices that wants to be US b*tches and too many ‘like-minded’ hypocrites.

As for TSMC they are just the producer... it wouldn’t matter to them... they just need to get the equipment (US or non-US), build a plant in Europe, if necessary, and they are good to go... only question would be, would It be economically viable...

Needs more dead white leaders so that the real truth can hit home. I look forward to a decade where the white population around the world get a very good first hand experience as to how much it hurts to be in the same shoes of all those minorities that have been discriminated against for being a different skin colour.
