I think Saudi needs 5th Gen straight away.
They signed a declaration of intent, not an agreement. On the other hand, if SA had equal interest to FC-31, China will not make it public, even an agreement would be very low key.
I am not saying SA is not serious with UK, they could be very serious. It could also be a typical bargain tactic to press China to allow FC-31's production line in SA (they asked for it). I think China is negative to the idea, SA is far less close to China than Pakistan and FC-31 is far more advanced than JF-17. Besides, China is balancing Iran and SA, selling FC-31 to SA is already a huge thing turning the balance, giving a production line is just too much. Essentially SA is pulling the same trick as Turkey in the SAM bidding except Turkey is not at odd with major partner of China in the region.
Not saying the screen capture is actually something real, but just guess of the words.

What he said is so undiplomatic, he pretty much disqualified himself from being a diplomat. China should request the US to recall him.
I made a mistake. It should be Wuhan CDC, not WIV. According to CNN, the DOD made the report based on information about Wuhan CDC.
Wuhan CDC had a few labs also. But they probably did not have a coronavirus research program and no one has ever accused them that the virus was leaked from their labs. Either CNN, DOE or both seem to have confused WIV with Wuhan CDC's labs. This won"t add any credibility to the "low confidence" report.
Anyway, there are 2 high quality researches that point to the natural origin of COIVD-19. Both NYT and CNN reported these. They are far more credible in my opinion.

A quick Russian victory would also provoke the US into making sure that the same would never happen again in Asia. That wouldn't be good for China. Just look at the effort US put into the Vietnam War vs. Korean War.
What is your point here? China won too fast in Korean war? USA prevented from losing in Vietnam???
Don't forget the World Military Games in Wuhan in late 2019, where the US team won zero gold medal and finished last, where some US members were apparently sick with flu like symptoms.
But Chinese culture is so cold or as Lord Sir Francis Fukuyama puts it “low trust”! If a loving and warm “high trust” society like the US is like this, I wonder how many schools get shot up in China every day?
